I see you beside me in the mirror
... error
Scrutinizing my sullen Profile
… vile
Your eyes appraising me in surprise
… rise
I wish I could see in them some pride
… hide
You were the one, before all women
… omen
This frown on your forehead is off place
… face
I gaze further , longing for an embrace
… race
Coming to realize you are not here
… fear
