Dark Sweet (Qasidat Mara)

Dark yet fresh, bitter yet sweet

She shaped it with nimble hands

Poured the black lava in a cup

Swirled a pure white cloud on top

Thorough and quick, quick and thorough

Top to bottom emotions swirled

Cup my heart with cinnamon poured

Hands like angel wings is she

Sweet as mel in nectar dark

(Qasidat Mara) is a simple and unique poetry form created by BillTemple1957

The form is based on an uneven number of keywords in a specific order. The least amount is 5 words. The most is up to the writer. The more words, the more challenging.

The first word starts the first line.
The last word is the last word in the first line.
The second word starts the second line.
The second last word is the ending word of line 2. And so on…

Expect for the middle line. It starts and ends with the same word. And the words of this line are repeated but mirroring each other.

The title of the poem is the first and last words you chose..

No rhyme scheme or meter required.
