My tongue is tied in knots
Afraid of breathing fire
For years I eat my thoughts
Their consequences direGreen monster kept in check
Tight jaws clinched by vice
Boiling my insides sick
Pressed lips like frigid iceSilence a golden key
When all is said and done
For all the truth I see
Unseen to everyoneFor peace of mind I seek
Long-winded banter spew
You taught me how to speak
With everyone but you
