If Only...

Is it too much to ask

For undiluted bliss?

Is it impossible to ignore

This nagging frustration

That life is a loop of slumber?

Flighty, restless, long night

Spent in morbid anticipation

Bad dreams…

Tarnished thoughts...

Unknown fate.

Awaits….

Behind the walls of awakening

Is it wrong to blink?

To drown into the mattress

Wake up in the morning

Without a trace of memory

Of what had been?

Regrets, failures, shame

Nothing...

Blank page…

Then we start anew…

What if we lose memories?

Does it erase the truth?

Do we become immaculate

Newborn babies?

Maybe…

What can we be but frail?

We are human after all

Humanity is fragile

We are breakable inside

And outside…

Weakness is strength

Isn't it…?

A perfect reason for redemption

Because it's true...

It's not easy being weak

It's not difficult either

We are what we are

Humans striving

Weaklings surviving

People living

Lovers loving

Children dreaming

Then as we grow

Older and wiser

Blissful we become

Nodding heads in surety

That we are close

Very close to leaving

Firm in believing

The end is not the end

It's only the beginning

Of a blissful forever

If only ….

Just an attempt to let the thoughts flow where they may. It ended up exactly like the title of this book: Poetic Rant. Not sure of the 'poetic' part though. What do you think? :D
