Before I met you
What was I?
Why was I
Living my days

My life's path
Before you
I trudged through
The longest night
No beating heart
To feel my strife
No guiding light
And when I took
The first look
With a yearning
Of a lifetime
I was taken
Through and through
With all the love
In me, I hailed
And ran to you
Thirsty for love
Reaching out
Calling you
Softer than breeze
Dainty as angels
