Doodles, January 16th, 2017
Marinette hunched over her desk and scribbled vigorously in her notebook. She had exactly three minutes and forty-two seconds until class started and she desperately tried to get her doodle finished.
"Girl what are you drawing?" Alya slid into the seat beside her and tried to peek at her doodle.
"Uh, nothing!" Marinette squeaked. She flashed a toothy grin at her best friend before quickly adding in the final touches to the doodle. "Done," she said softly to herself.
It was a love square with her, Adrien, Chat Noir and Ladybug.
"Okay so explain this to me," Alya said with an amused smile.
"Okay so I like Adrien, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me. But I think he likes Ladybug and..." she paused when she saw she drew hearts for Ladybug liking Adrien. Of course she knew Ladybug liked Adrien, she was Ladybug! But how could she describe that to Alya?
"And um... well it's obvious Chat Noir likes Ladybug but I don't think she likes him and I mean Adrien is Adrien how could you not like him so obviously Ladybug liked Adrien too!"
"Huh?"
Marinette jumped at the sound of the angelic voice jumping in the conversation.
"Did you say my name?" Adrien looked at Marinette with a confused but still friendly smile. His eyes trailed from her down to the paper and they widened a bit. "Hey is that-"
"Nope! Nope it's no one!" She grabbed her paper and held it flush against her chest as she grinned at him nervously. She hoped he didn't saw anything too revealing.
"Okay..." he drawled out and sat down. Alya was in a deep conversation with Nino about some new Ice Cream parlor, so Marinette was left alone.
"By the way Marinette," Adrien said after a hot second. He turned back around and smiled up at her. "Ladybug loves Chat Noir." He winked and turned back around, making Marinette scoff and smile.
"As if," she teased, laughing a bit as she smiled down at her doodle. But when no one was looking, she erased the question marks between Ladybug liking Chat, and put down the tiniest little heart on the line instead.
