[C h a p t e r 11]

I took a deep breath, I had to otherwise I would've tackled him down back a couple hundred yards. If he asks that damn question one more t-

"You do know how to swim right?" Harry asked for the millionth time.

God that's it. Really Harry, oh my I hope your not reading my mind right now because. Oh I'm going to think just really mean nasty things about you.

"Yes, someone tried to kill me. I don't care what you say. I'm a terrific swimmer, and I'm not paranoid.  On the slight chance that I am, it's because you made me crazy." I said stomping my feet on the ground in frustration.

"Okay, it's just you're so animated about someone pulling you under. It doesn't make any sense gnat. Whoever grabbed you would have to be able to breathe under water. " he explained. "And that's impossible."

My teeth bit at my lower lip, I nodded slowly contemplating his words, "Well, you exist, I'm sure you could go under water and not be affected. You are greater than me in every way, you seem pretty damn impossible yourself, and here you are."

"Yeah but there's only one of me." he said.

"Is there?" I questioned. I mean whose to say the government didn't make an extra in case something went wrong. Just a back up, you never know.

"Yes." he responded.

I turned by head away not wanting to listen to him any more. I put my clothes on again, and looked at the lake. I wanted to just sleep, maybe then my mother could explain some things to me. As my eyes crossed the lake I saw a cabin, a building where there surely must be people. People means there's a sector around, which means the great four and government are at an arms distance.

We need to leave, as quietly as we can. I hope no one noticed us swimming. We were loud, do they have camera's oh no. We need to leave pronto but I need to be quiet and calm about it.

"Harry." I murmured, placing my hand on his forearm.

"Yeah." he said.

"There's a cabin, on the far side of this lake, we need to leave." I said quietly getting up and walking to the woods nice and slow.

He didn't move from his spot, god he's so infuriating at times. This is a life and death situation, is he seriously sitting down? Of course he wouldn't have a problem because he's indestructible but I'm human. I don't have super strength and fast reflexes. I can't read minds, I have nothing.

I'm relying on him for my survival. I don't think he really gets how much I need him, "Harry we have to go. I know you're superman and you have no weaknesses but I do. I'm human, I'm vulnerable we have to leave." I said desperately trying to drag him with me.

He didn't move an inch, "Superman does has a weakness, kryptonite" he said looking at me.

"Then you're better than him, you don't have a kryptonite, that's not really important right now just lets please leave now. Please Harry. Zero." I said trying to get him up and capture his attention.

"Yes I do, you." he said.

"Wait what?" I asked.

"You, your my weakness. Your my kryptonite, I'm not good at showing and expressing emotions but I don't want you to get hurt. Gnat, I made you promises and your different. You don't throw yourself at me you talk to me. You have self respect and I love that because your not hot, your gorgeous. Gnat, please know that. And yes I know sometimes I piss you off but its cause your funny when your mad. I like when you smile and laugh at me because its real. You're real, you are my friend, and I haven't had one of those in a long long time. I would never hurt you on purpose, so I'm sorry if I ever did. I'm sorry about everything, about screwing with your life.I probably sound stupid but that's how I feel, or at least how I think I feel. You mean a lot to me, I want to keep you safe." he said.

I was actually a shocked for a number of reasons...

1. He cared about me .

2. He said I was gorgeous.

3. He said I was his friend.

4. He wanted me safe.

5. He would never intentionally hurt me.

6. He was sorry.

7. I was his weakness.

8. He... well there's no eight but he was being super sweet. He actually looked like he was showing some emotions, I could have mistaken him for a real human. But please rewind did he say weakness?

Me, Natalie Wilson was his weakness...wow just wow. I felt mixed emotions when he said "friends". Happy because this what I've wanted to be and that's a big step for him. Sad because "friends" is all were ever gonna be and I don't know. I should be happy, I am happy.

"Oh wow, no you don't sound stupid. I wasn't expecting that. If you want to keep me safe we need to leave this place." I said trying to move him once more.

"We are safe, I know the people in the cabin. They're friends of my friends."he said.

"Friends." I said.

"Yeah, these people's know my childhood friends." he said smiling.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"When I left you earlier, I was talking to them." I said.

"Are they lying?" I asked.

"I read their minds and their memories. They're telling the truth." he said.

"So we have heat now, and real food, new clothes, showers oh god we'll have hot showers right." I asked.

He nodded. I sank to my knees in joy. We have been blessed, oh my, I've never been so happy in my entire life.

"Well you have to meet them first." he said leading me towards the cabin.

I just hope their friendly... please be friendly.

Hey hey hey. Important chapter here. Harry says friends, but gnat wants to be more? Or does she idk. And is she crazy? The voices? 3 more chapter till the little surprise secret is revealed. Can't wait till chapter 15. They still didn't kiss, will they ever? Questions questions questions. Comment and vote if you liked update as soon as I can.
