PROLOGUE

I HAVE NEVER BEEN in a serious relationship at all. Okay, more in the lines of I've never really dated anyone. I met this guy when I was in college and he just made me feel real good and I can't help but be attracted to him pero hindi naman kami nag-date. He left right before graduation with his family to go to the States. He never told me the reason why but what he did is leave me a letter. Sabi niya sa sulat na he loves me at nagsosorry siya kasi he never got the chance to date me or show me how he really feels. Noon akala ko yun na yun kaya willing ako na hintayin siya but as time flies nalaman ko na di naman fairytale ang buhay at hindi lahat ng pangako ay natutupad.

I'm Matilda Ong Romualdez and I'm now 32 and single as hell kasi di naman bumalik si Tyrone, siya yung lokong nagpaasa sa akin, at wala namang lalaking dumadating sa buhay ko na kayang patibukin ang puso kong mas mataas pa ata sa Burj Khalifa ang standards. I'm a doctor and that's the only exciting thing that's happening with my life. Damn it.
