Spider-Man: The New Age- Book 1 in The Vindicators Series

Chapter 3

As Connor started to feel himself being lifted out of the pit he decided to try out his new powers. Hold on. I wanna try wallcrawling!  OK just take it slow. I don't want you breaking your neck. It's nice to know you care. I don't! Jean sent as she dropped Connor on his head. Jokes on you! That didn't even hurt! Connor sent as he rolled onto his back. Just hurry up. On my way!

Connor made his way over to the wall of the pit and studied it. As he studied it he realized that he could see it in perfect detail. Connor turned around and saw that he could see the entire pit as if he was standing under a light. Uh I don't remember you saying anything about night vision. Like I said you're stronger than the original Spider-Man which means you have some powers that he never got. Could I be any more awesome?!? As far as I can tell you're the second strongest hero on the team. Like right now or in general. In general. Well then who's the strongest? Logan Banner. Banner..... you're saying Bruce Banner had a kid??? With who?!? Black widow,duh. Well,dang. Hurry up and get up here or else I'm going to start looking around without you. Alright,Alright.

As Connor looked up towards the top of the pit he could just barely see Jeans red hair. God she's beautiful. I heard that. I know. Connor looked at the wall one last time before jumping as high as he could and grabbing hold of it. He carefully angled his head down to see how far he jumped. About 50 feet. Not bad. Thank you. As Connor angled his head back towards the top of the pit he began making his way up. He slowly put his left hand as high he could reach before pulling himself up. Then he flipped onto his back and stared at the wall on the other side. No way,don't even think about it! Jean sent as Connor jumped to the other side of the wall and then back to the other side all the way up to the top of the pit.

"Easy peezy lemon brezzy." Connor said calmly. 

Without a word Jean pulled her arm back and swung her fist at Connor's face. Time slowed down as Connor sidestepped and grabbed Jean's arm throwing her through a wall on the other side of the room. 

"This is going to be fun." Jean said walking out of the rubble and unsheathing her claws with a snikt. 

"Oh yeah." Connor said crouching down. 

Jean sprung towards Connor with all 6 claws pointed at his chest. As Connor felt time slow down he realized that he was already using his spider sense. With a grin he jumped into the air and did 3 somersaults over Jean before landing on his feet and hearing Jean smash through a wall.

As Jean stood up she looked up to see Connor standing in front of her with a grin on his face. "This is going to hurt, isn't it." Jean said with a sigh. 

"Yup,but we have our healing factors."Connor said before starting to run around Jean. 

As Jean stood in the center she suddenly felt herself being punched from all sides. Finally falling to her knees she decided to stop holding back. Her eyes began to glow and she started to float.

"ENOUGH!" Jean screamed flinging Connor across the room. After floating back down to the ground Jean rushed over to Connor's shaking body. 

"Oh my God! Connor are you okay?" Jean cried. She gently rolled him over to see Connor laughing hysterically. 

"That was awesome!" Connor said sitting up. "Ready for round two?" Connor started to stand up but stopped when he realized that Jean was staring at him. "Sorry if I scared you-" Connor started as Jean rushed forward and kissed him.

Connor fell backwards but quickly steadied himself. He didn't know what to do. Enjoy it. He thought to himself as he closed his eyes and returned Jean's kiss. After a few seconds they broke apart,gasping for air.
