We walk to the boys who are already sitting at a table. I sit down next to Devin and say hey. I begin eating my pretzel and then i begin thinking.
What if I can't find the dress that fits my style? What if I just don't go because it'll be much easier and less stress. ALIYAH! ALIYAH! Devin is nudging me and I escape my thoughts. I realise that he said something but i didn't hear. "What did you say, sorry?" "Why u seem so sad." I reply "I just can't find THE dress that is like perfect, we've literally been in 20 different shops and found absolutely nothing at all for me." "It'll be alright you'll find somethin i k you will its probs hidin"He laughs.
We all finish our food and head back home. I feel really tired. So i just ask Kevin to carry me up to my room, bridal style. I rest my head in his chest and fall asleep instantly.
Hr later
I am awoken by someone face timing me. I accept it without seeing who it is.
Daniel:"Hey gurl, you look tired". I rub my eyes as they were blurry and i realise its Dani.
Aliyah:"Hey Dani, hows u."
Daniel:"I'm good, I think I'm better now. So imma be good for the party, so you better save me a dance." He licks his lips and smiles, messing with his hair. I sighed, and slowly my head sinks.
Aliyah:"I think you gotta ask someone else for that dance because I don't think ill be going."
Daniel:" You have to come, and i havent seen you in somethin pretty and everyone else has" We laugh together. Daniel is a funny character and even though i haven't known his for long i know that i can rely on and trust him with my problems. But he will never ever ever take Kevin's place.
Aliyah:"Boyyy, you tryna tell me I've been wearing nasty clothes" I stick my tongue out at him. "And I haven't found a dress and the party is in 2 FREAKING DAYS, LIKE 2, What am i meant to do? I thought today I'd be able to find the dress but me, lexi and the boys searched for hrs literally and we couldn't find anything."
A smirk forms on Daniels' face and he begins laughing.
"Heyyy, my situation isn't funny uno im dead serious. Do you want me to come to your yard and whip your ass" I say to him.
Daniel:"You can try, because i wont mind." I roll my eyes. And he carries on speaking "Maybe the dress your looking for is one of a kind and isn't found in the mall."
Aliyah:"Maybe. "
Daniel:"Imma let you head off to bed okay its like 10 pm and you need your beauty sleep. Night liya."
Aliyah:"Night, Dani"I end the call and lie back down on the bed. I look up at my ceiling, and tell myself
"You gotta stay positive Aliyah, everything happens for a reason, maybe the dress aint ment to be, just have positive vibes and good will come to you. You can borrow something of Lexi's as she did offer so it's not like you wont have a dress"
I roll over to my left and get comfortable and before i know it Kevin throws his arm around me. "OH GOD THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG NIGHT" I sigh and fall asleep to the sound of Kevin breathing. Each breathe was like a soothing pattern. These little thing that kevin does is what i missed the most. Just being by his side makes me happy and sometimes doesn't even feel real.
