Somebody pulls my arm, I went to throw a punch as a "reflex" but in reality, i knew exactly who it was. However, sadly Kev caught my punch and I just say "whoops". And then i carry on walking. 

"Aliyah why you acting like this and what did that cashier say to you. If he's trying to flirt wid u just tell me ma imma wait for him when target finishes and ill get him for you and he'll never both you" Kevin says. 

I don't respond to him but at the moment all i can hear nonsense coming out of his mouth. 

"Yoh ma come on tell me he was flirting wid you right that's y ur acting like this he's literally just ruined your day. I'm sorry, trust me he'll never both you" I'm trying to walk as fast as i could but he grabs my arm "Aliyah....Aliyah"

"I'm sorry Kev for acting like this, quick question tho, where did you go while you were chasing after me" 

He silently stutters "I went to the restroom" It made me sick how he was lying straight to my face.

I reply" Ooooh, I tried ringing you, your phone musta been on silent right because you'd never cut me of or ignore my calls ever because obviously, best friends could never do that."

"God I'm sorry i didn't know you had rang my line 6 times." He says pretending to check his missed call history.

How could he think I'm so stupid. Yeah i was angry about him leaving me for that girl but now I'm angry and how the absolute ass could just lie straight up to my face. 

I could see my house in view and so i continued to walk beside kev until we got outside the house. 

"Oh WAIT Kev can you ring my phone and only when i pick in up then decline it okay because itll take me a while to find it" I say fake smiling.

I knew exactly where my phone was I just wanted to play the same game he played on me. My phone begins ringing, he looks at the pocket in my shorts. And i begin looking around. He scrunches his face because he was super confused. We were currently outiside my house. 

"Ermm.. are you gonna pick that up like ive literally rang you like 2 times right now and i can hear and see your phone vibrating in your pocket"

"Oh just ring it another 4 times yeah and then maybe ill make up a lie about how i was in the toilet (restroom) or maybe i could say i was looking at the birds fly in the sky even though there are not any birds flying " I say in a sassy tone. 

"Why you acting like this, Imma just stop calling your line now" We walk into the house its funny because he thinks this is over. 

I say quietly but loud enough so that he could hear "Bestfriends could never ignore each others calls." 

"Whats thats suppose to mean, you tryna say we aint bestfriends, suit yourself  then "

"YOU KNOW WAT HURTS THE MOST NOT THAT  YOU LEFT ME IN TARGET BY MYSELF EVENTHOUGH YOU KNEW I WERENT FAMILIAR WID THE PLACE AND ITS NOT THAT I WATCHED YOU WID THAT GIRL WHEN USE WERE FLIRTING AND HOW U LITERALLY DECLINED MY CALLS ALL OD THEM, BUT THE FACT THAT YOU LIED TO ME. YOU LIED TO MY FACE THINKING ALIYAH'S SUCH A RETARD SHE'LL PROBABLY FALL FOR IT. YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE HOW WAT A BESTFRIEND IS, WHATS THE POINT KEV, WHAT WAS THE POINT OF LYING OR BEING SO RUDE ENOUGH TO BE LIKE THAT. IM SORRY THAT I BORE YOU TO THE POINT WHERE YOU HAVE TO LIE." I drop the grocery bag on the counter and run to my room slamming the door. Leaving Kev in the kitchen.
