Annabeth couldn't breathe. It felt like the walls were closing in on her, and she couldn't obtain enough air to let out a cry for help. Tears spilled from her eyes as she thrashed in the bed.
All of a sudden her door was thrown open and Percy rushed in, wrapping his arms around her.
"I've got you," he whispered in her ear," I'm here."
Annabeth clenched her eyes shut, and buried her face into his chest. Sobs wracked her body as Percy's arms held her.
"Breathe, honey," he told her, trying to soothe her.
Annabeth managed to calm her crying after a few minutes. She removed her face from Percy's shoulder and looked at him.
"Hey," he said quietly.
He moved his hands to her cheeks and wiped the tears off of her face.
"Hey," she replied.
She set her hands on his neck, and as she watched him she copied his breathing, trying to calm herself.
"You're okay," he told her.
He pressed a kiss to her nose, causing a small smile to appear on her lips.
"Percy," she began hesitantly.
"Yes, Wise girl," he said.
"Will you stay with me?" she asked.
"Of course," he replied.
He wrapped his arms around her and lied down.
"You wanna talk about your nightmare?" he asked, stroking her hair.
"No," she answered," not right now, at least."
"I love you," he whispered, kissing her forehead.
"I love you too, Seaweed Brain."
He kissed her lips softly, pulling her closer.
He knew, no matter what monsters they faced or whatever nightmares plagued them, he would have his Wise Girl, and she was all he needed.
Okay, so this might be bad, but I really love fan fictions about the nightmares Annabeth and Percy would have after everything that happened in the House of Hades. It makes them seem more real, so here are some more feels for you like me.
