This is based on the song Seven Years by Lukas Graham.
Once I was seven years old, my mama told me go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely.
"Percy," Sally called," why don't you go to the park?"
"I don't want to," he complained, turning to go to his room.
"Perseus Jackson, you are going to the park," she commanded.
He groaned in frustration but obeyed his mother, and he left the security of his house.
He walked down the block, his head hanging. He stepped over the barrier to the playground, looking around at the children playing with each other. Percy stuffed his hands in his pockets, staring at the ground.
He spun around when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He saw a pretty girl, with blonde curly hair standing there.
"My name is Annabeth Chase," she said, holding out her hand for him to shake.
He took it shyly, wondering why this girl was talking to him.
"What's yours?" she asked after a moment.
"My what?" he asked.
"Wow, Seaweed Brain," she said, rolling her eyes," what's your name?"
"Percy," he said, disliking the nickname.
"Seaweed Brain it is," she said, smirking," come on."
She grabbed his hand and dragged him towards a group of kids sitting underneath the playground.
"This is Percy," she told the group.
Percy fidgeted under the glances of the other kids, but they just smiled at him. They made room for him to sit and started introducing themselves.
"I'm Leo," a small Latino boy with pointy ears said.
He was messing with something in his hands that Percy couldn't see.
"Piper," a girl with colorful eyes, and brown choppy hair said.
"Connor and Travis," two boys who looked identical said in unison.
"I'm Beckendorf," a boy who looked slightly older than the rest of the group said.
"And I'm Silena," a pretty girl next to him said.
"Who's up for a game of tag?" Leo asked.
Once I was eleven years old, my daddy told me, go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely.
"I should probably go home," Percy said, standing up from the bench.
"Why?" Annabeth asked, wanting him to stay longer.
"My mom's going to be worried," he said, chuckling at Annabeth's pout.
"I'll see you tomorrow," he said, bending down to press a kiss on Annabeth's cheek.
"See ya, Seaweed Brain," she said.
"Bye Wise Girl," he said, jumping off her porch.
He jogged down the road, stopping once to see Annabeth closing the door behind her.
Something about the glory just always seemed to bore me.
"Come on," Dylan shouted, shoving Percy against the locker," fight back."
Percy just stayed silent. He ignored the punches, that were landing on his stomach.
Teachers walked by, ignoring the fight that was going on. Percy didn't care, he could take the punches.
