"Sam, is it alright to leave a lone for a while?" Brieanna asked.

"I will be OK." Brieanna intercepted Gwen as she was entering her room.

"Brie, I was so terrified. My knees are still shaking."

"You were excellent, dam girl you're good!"

"You look a little happier and energetic yourself."

"I had a little alone time with Sam."

"Did you guys..."

"I'm not saying," Brieanna said, but her bright smile said everything. They were interrupted when Inga burst into the room.

"Are you OK Gwen honey?"

"Yes Mom."

"I can't believe what I saw."

"Loki is not invincible," Brieanna said, "he is powerful and arrogant, but he can be beaten."

"Did he hurt you?" Inga asked, her eyes wide with alarm.

"No, I did break his finger. And I stole one of his bags," Gwen said holding up the bag. "It sort of fell out of his pocket...almost."

"You're bad Gwennie!" Brieanna said laughing.

"Not to mention devious," Gwen added. A moment later Harald walked into her room.

"What was the meaning of your attack on Loki?" he said accusingly.

"He accosted me," Gwen said, "he groped me and made an indecent proposal to me."

"Are you positive?"

"He grabbed my breast Dad!" Gwen said suddenly feeling angry. "So I broke his finger, flipped him, kneed his groin, and stuck me knife in his throat. Next time I'll stick in it to the hilt!"

"He said different things," Harald said, his face confused. "Could you have misunderstood and overreacted." Gwen was furious.

"No Dad, I should have cut his thingy off. I'm really tired. I need to lay down."

"Of course dear," Inga said sounding worried, "let's let her be." They were all leaving when Gwen added, "Not you Brie."

They were sitting on the roof of the great hall leaning against Dreki. "This is so neat, nobody can see or hear us up here with Dreki cloaked," Brieanna said.

"What should we do with this bag?" Gwen asked.

"I'm afraid to use it. It's evil and I do not want any part of it."

"Give it to the wind," Dreki said.

"How?" Brieanna asked.

"We can fly high over the sea and release the bags contents."

"I don't want to get any of it on you," Brieanna said.

"I'll do a steep climb, cut the bottom of the bag and drop it."

"Let's go now," Gwen said, "Then we can find a place where I can practice throwing fireballs."

They disposed of Loki's bag and landed on a small rocky island. They spent most of the day practicing throwing fireballs, then returned to the great hall. They found Sam walking in the courtyard of the hall and joined him.

"Sam, I failed to introduce you to Gwen."

"The morning was not conductive to introductions. You said you were best friends."

"We're sisters actually," Brieanna added.

"The mischief sisters," Gwen added.

"Gwen is coming to Avalon with us."

"The both of you look so beautiful, love the furs, but it's your skin color that is most attractive." Brieanna smiled brightly at Sam as did Gwen.

"We have been tanning. I'm tan from head to toe."

"And Brie has shown me fighting techniques too," Gwen added.

"I saw the results this morning. I was impressed."

"My dad wasn't," Gwen said sadly.

"I have no idea how to fight this," Sam said. "Lemuel's power had its weak links, but he can control others I would rather not hurt."

"We disposed of one of his bags thanks to Gwen."

"That leaves him with the one around his neck," Sam said. "He only had the two bags. I've seen him refill his neck bag from the one you disposed of. That was great thinking Gwen. I saw you take it from his pocket."

"We need to go on the offense!" Brieanna stated.

"How?" Gwen asked.

"No idea, I'm still thinking... I'm hungry!"

"Some things never change," Sam laughed at they walked back to the great hall.
