Dreki uncloaked and swooped landing at the enclosure facing Loki.
"NO-O-O-O-O!" Brieanna wailed as she covered Gwen's hands with hers. Her hands glowed blue as Brieanna took Gwen's wounds into her own body. Her belly opening and bleeding just as was Gwen's. "Gwennie no-o-o-o!"
Loki took the bag from his neck and threw the content into Dreki's face and the dragon froze. "You are mine now! He hissed. Dreki could not move, he could not think. The pain was excruciating. Dreki closed his eyes determined hold out. He stood fighting to control his mind.
Brieanna quickly realized that Gwen's wound was too deep for her to close. She felt herself bleeding out, but refuse to relinquish the link between them. Eric and Haakon were transfixed by the unfolding tragedy. "Let me go sister," Gwen whispered. "You can't save me...I love you Brie, let me go."
"NO!" Brieanna growled as she continued to pour her life force into her friend."
Loki smiled at Dreki, "KILL THEM ALL," he shouted pointing to Harald and his family.
"Dreki, please...I need you," Brieanna whispered as she slowly lost consciousness. Dreki turned slowly as Loki shouted in triumph, and then the dragon exhaled loudly on Gwen and Brieanna, and turned to face Loki
"I am a dragon, my power is greater than yours will ever be," Dreki said glaring into Loki's face. Harald grabbed Loki's wrist holding the sword and twisted it. Loki dropped the sword. Then Harald seized Loki by the neck, lifted him and threw him to the ground as several guards took hold of him. Harald rushed with his wife and sons to Gwen's side. There was no evidence of blood or a cut on either of the girls. They were both sitting up and hugging as they wept in each other's arms. Sam lifted Brieanna into his arms and kissed her. Gwen was held tightly by her family.
"What shall we do with the prisoner?" a guard asked.
"Show him the blood eagle," Harald said. "I'll join you later.
"NO-O-O-O!" Loki screamed as he was dragged off. He soiled his pants as he was dragged off to his place of execution. "I was going to be a god," he wailed, "You can't do this to me."
"You asked me once Haakon if I believe in magic," Eric said. "I do now." The brothers embraced.
Brieanna and Gwen embraced Dreki's neck. "You did it Dreki, you broke Loki's power and saved us all," Gwen said.
"Now you can return to Avalon with pride," Brieanna added, "you have redeemed yourself and all of us."
