Sam walked along with Bill and George as they looked at the fields. "I've been growing hops," Bill said, "There is a ready market in the village with all the beer breweries. Also there is a fruit and vegetable market in the village on Saturdays. You'll need to purchase a booth."

"Where are all the girls off to, Aria wouldn't say," George asked.

"They went to a tropical island. Brie and Gwen have been there several times, sun bathing I think," Sam replied.

"You said you were thinking of buying a pig," Bill asked, "you thinking of raising pigs?"

"Only one or two, I will buy them in the spring and butcher them in the fall. I have no intention to completely raise pigs. My neighbors may object to the smell."

"Thank you!" Bill said.

"Ana mentioned she wanted cows," George added.

"Yes, but not many, enough to make cheese for our own use, and a little to sell. Much of the things we produced on our farm was for us to consume. Wool cloth was our cash crop. We also had a large group of farm hands, this farm will be rather shorthanded," Sam said.

"I understand you kept bees," George said.

"Yes, Brie wants the honey, she likes to make mead."

"There is a good market for mead, and beers in the village market," Bill added. "The village market is a good source of cash. I raise tomatoes and cucumbers for the market. Potatoes, melons and root vegetables too later in the season. You have a considerable variety of fruit trees on the property."

"The sheep look good too," Sam said, "I'm starting with a good sized herd."

"When will you move in?" George asked.

"Most of the furniture will be in at the weeks end. I need to purchase food and do some cleaning, so late next week."

"Jayne is excited you're moving in so close. She's excited that Ana wants her to teach her how to use the stove. This life style is very different from running a shop in the village."

"Yes, it's a lot of work," Sam said, "but I found a lot of satisfaction working a farm."

"Aria grew up on a farm. Jayne, her Mom, was a dragon rider. We were never were wealthy. Aria's husband was into shipping, that branch of the family is wealthy."

"And Ruth married another poor farmer, me!" Bill added with a laugh.

"Is Ruth a dragon rider too?" Sam asked.

"Yes, and Susan will be one too," George said.

"Gwen and Aednat too I've been told," Sam said. "How many dragons are there?"

"Currently eight. We had eleven but three of the hatch-lings went missing about three months ago," George said.

"What happened to them?"

"No one really knows. Niohoggr's return brings us back to nine."

"Mom! Come slide down the waterfalls with us!" Brieanna shouted. Aryanna climbed carefully then joined them as they slid down into the pond.

"This is really beautiful Ana."

"I love coming here, Dreki showed us this island."

"The water is so clear, and the thousands of fish so colorfully."
