Today I'm back in gym. We got back from Florida yesterday, and I thought it should be good to return to gym... seeing that we have a meet in five days.

I came in and everyone was just eying me weirdly, like they wanted to ask but they knew they shouldn't. I just rushed to my locker and placed everything in, just grabbing my grips. As I went to the warm up area, I saw that Katie and Annie were partnered up, and they didn't even bother to say hi to me. They have gotten way closer with me gone.

The only other person who wasn't paired up was Via, so I just headed over to her. "Hey person!" Via said, as I reached her. "Hi," I replied and then we started warming up. "Wow, Katie and Annie are ignoring you, today," Via noticed. "I guess," I shrugged, as I saw them laugh while practicing vault. "Come on, we're on bars next," Via tug my arm. I followed her to where the bars were.

Via went up first, as Coach Mary gave her pointers and straightened up her toe touches. Wow, Via is so good at bars... I've never noticed. Then it was my turn. Coach Mary straightened out my routine, making it cleaner. She also helped me with my flexed feet and bent knees. "Overall, that was a great routine. We'll touch it up some more," Coach Mary reassured, and gave me a little side hug. We worked on bars the rest of the day, into break/lunch.

"Wanna sit with me?" Via asked, as she gestured me to her usual corner where Kenzie and Kayleigh sat. "Sure," I agreed. I sat next to Via and Kenzie and Kayleigh were across from us. "Hey guys, check this out," Kayleigh told us. We went around and I looked over her shoulder. It was Crossy Road, but it was a Halloween themed one. Wow, Halloween was so close to us already. "That's so cool," Kenzie said and we agreed. I caught a glimpse of Annie, Katie, Arden, Mia, and Amanda laughing and talking to each other. Via and I sat back down as I got to know them better. "So, Steph, anything interesting about you?" Kayleigh asked. "Uh... not really. I'm just a person," I laughed. "Oh come on," Via said, "there has to be something special about you." "Well... I do like to make a fool out of myself," I admitted. "Aha! Next week is gonna be perfect!" Via told me, enthusiastically. "Huh?" I didn't understand. Kenzie and Kayleigh smirked. "SPIRIT WEEK!" they half-yelled, making the rest of the coral girls look our way. "Spirit week? What's that?" I asked them. Via explained and the whole time, Kenzie and Kayleigh were nodding their heads. "Oh," I said when she was finished, "this is gonna be fun," I said evily, like I was an evil witch.

Day before Spirit Week Day 1

"Guys, what are you doing?" I asked, laughing. Via and Kenzie were over at my house, and they blindfolded me. "It's a surprise," Via said. "For the millionth time, stop asking!" Kenzie laughed. They unfolded it and I saw that I was in front of my closet. "Uh... it's my closet," I laughed. "Oh we forgot," Via facepalmed. Kenzie redid my blindfold as I heard the closet door open. "You do know you could've just told me to close my eyes," I told them, like it was a duh statement. They unfolded it again, and I saw that there was a Donald Duck onzie (idk how to spell it) costume in there. "Oh my gosh, is this Donald Duck? The Donald Duck?!" I squealed. Don't judge me... Donald Duck is my favorite character. "Yep!" Kenzie laughed. "Go try it on," Via pushed me into the bathroom with the costume. "Ok ok, I'm going," I giggled and locked the door. I came out when I was finished and heard them break out laughing, which made me laugh super hard. "Hey, Donald! How's life?" Via asked me, trying to catch her breath but couldn't. "Just great," I tried to do my best impression of a Donald Duck voice to make him sound grumpy. That just made them laugh harder. "Oh my gosh... I'm dying," Kenzie laughed, and fell on my bed. "I'm sooooo wearing this tomorrow," I told them.

I walked into gym feeling so special. I was with Via, which was Mickey, Arden, which was Goofy, Mia, which was Pluto, and Kenzie, who was Daisy Duck. The best part? Where were all wearing onzies. As we walked in, I felt like we were owning the place. We were boss in these! "Now do you believe me when I said that I love to make a fool of myself?" I whispered-asked Via and Kenzie. They both nodded. This week is gonna be fun...😈
