It turns out, we were walking in a hurricane. Wind was howling, trees were breaking. Plus, Nick lost his jacket and we're soaking wet, head to toe. The problem was, there weren't any buildings. Justs trees. And more trees. And more.

"Nick, there's no where to go," I said silently. "There's just trees, trees, and more trees." "No there isn't. I know where, um, shelter is," Nick's voice cracked. I couldn't see anything... just random sparks of light. I felt his hands on my shoulders, which gave me a chill, but he was directing my somewhere.

Suddenly the rain stopped, but I still heard it. I opened my eyes and saw that we were under a hooded area. "Is this... a school?" I asked him, shuttering my words. I was freezing. "Yeah, it's my school. And this is also where I live," he told me. "Wait, what? You live in a school?" "Listen. I live in a closet that the school doesn't use. It's kind of like a shed, it outside. Right here," Nick said, pointing to a rectangular box attached to the school. "Come in." We ran through the rain and Nick showed me his "home".

"Nick, are you homeless?" I asked. That was a stupid question but I had to ask. We were inside his house and there wasn't any air conditioning which for once, I'm thankful for. Nick let out a little laugh. "I guess. I only showed you this place. No one knows about this. Not even Annie, so you can't tell anyone. You swear?" Nick asked me in a serious voice now, and I nodded. "I swear," I replied. "Why do you live here? And not in a house with your family?" Nick cleared his throat. "You really wanna know?" he asked, looking at his hands. "Yes," I mumbled. He looked up. "Here goes."

"I ran away from my family. I had five brothers and three sisters. My mom and dad didn't have time for a lot of things. Especially me. All my sibilings were active, loveable, and great at things. I'm just funny and around other people. I never fitted in. And look, they didn't bother to come find me," Nick explained. "Woah. How long have you been gone?" I asked him, wrapping the fourth blanket around me tighter. "About two years. They probably think I'm dead," Nick replied. "Where were you from?" "New Jersey. I miss my best bud, Sebastian. He was hilarious. We still text, he helped me run away," Nick told me. I was still taking it in. "Nick, are you just going to stay in this place? How about money?" Nick chuckled. "Don't worry about me. I got this. Why don't you get some sleep? It's pretty late," Nick said, looking at the school clock. "Great idea. Goodnight, Nick," I said, and put my head on my pillow. "Night," he said and snuggled next to me. He put his arm around me and slept with me in his arms. Awkward, but I let him. It didn't matter. We're great friends, so it won't mean a thing.

I woke up to the loudest bell ever. It was the school bell. Nick was already gone, so I changed into my clothes that I packed for the sleepover.

There wasn't any gym today. I grabbed a sticky note from one of Nick's shelves and wrote down: Hey Nick it's Steph. You had school so I left. If you need me for anything you know where to find me ;) cya ~Stephanie
I smiled and walked out the door with my stuff.

I realized the wreckage from the hurricane. Trees were down and rubble were everywhere. Surprised they had school.

I went to the gym, and there's a note that said: No gym today because of hurricane wreck. Tomorrow, at 8 am for school and gym. See you, coral girls!

I texted my mom that I was at the gym and placed my stuff on the bleachers. I decided to make up my own floor routine.

It took me about four hours to stretch, work some skills, and make up the actual routine.

(Pretend that's Steph at the gym and that's her made up routine.)

I recorded it and I think it looked great! I do think I over did the beginning this all the dance moves... but whatever! It was amazing and I loved it. Then I heard clapping. I looked up in the stands and found all the coral girls there on the bleachers, standing and clapping. I smiled back at them.
