Azura (Fire Emblem) X Reader

Disclaimer: I do not own Fire Emblem. Yeah still not sure what I would do with the series if I did.

Azura's POV

Strolling through the camps I see many of my fellow soldiers going about their normal everyday activities. Kaze and Saizo are arguing over something while Midori and Asugi try to calm them down, Kaden, Selkie, Velouria, and Keaton are readying themselves for a hunt, Silas is helping Mozu with some harvest, and Caeldori works on her fighting technique. Though all of their activities may be different in nature they all do share one thing: they are outside enjoying this beautiful weather. Instead of being happy for my friends I can't help but frown at one of them being absent. I quicken my pace and head to the armory where (Y/N) most likely is right now. As I near the forges, I can hear the pounding of metal on metal which is a good tell that he is there. Once there I open the door and the heat pours out over me. Gods how does (Y/N) tolerate this heat so much? Walking inside I can see said man with his back to me currently toiling over some metal work project. As I near him I can feel the air around me heat up even more. As I approach I speak up to not scare him at my sudden appearance.

"(Y/N) sweetie? It's me Azura." He perks up a little bit after I gently place my hand on his bare shoulder. Gosh, his skin is hot! He looks at my hand and follows up my arm to see me. When he finally sees me he smiles.

"Azura? What a pleasant surprise." He places his hammer down and stands up from his work. "To what do I owe the pleasure of my wife's presence?" His big grin is infectious to the point that I can't help but smile back at him in spite of the heat.

"I would like to talk more but can we go outside and talk? The heat is a little intense in here." He looks around worried.

"Oh, gods I'm sorry Azura." He quickly moves his work to a scrap bin while putting out the fire and then puts his hammer on a rack with others. "Come on let's get you out of the heat." I smile as he takes my hand and walks with me out of the heated room of death. How does he deal with it so much? Once outside he turns to me. "So what did you need?" I scowl a little at him.

"What do you mean "what do you need"? Look around you. It is a beautiful day out and you are wasting it inside that hellishly hot forge of yours!" He looks away sheepishly as I sigh in frustration. I know I don't usually get that emotional with people but (Y/N) just has that effect on me. After taking a deep breath I calm down and gently cup his face. "I'm not mad (Y/N). I just get worried about you. Being inside all the time in such intense heat can't be healthy for you. He cups his hand over mine and he apologetically smiles.

"Sorry, Azura that's just my normal habits, though. I have just never been a big fan of being outside." I smile and lightly kiss his lips.

"I know (Y/N) I know." He smiles and hugs me which I happily return. As much as I love hugging him he is still hot and sweaty from all the work in the forges. Honestly, his smell could be a little less... fierce. Moving a little away from him I smile. "Well take a break with me and enjoy some of this glorious day." He looks a little hesitant. "Oh come now I don't make that bad of company, do I?" He looks at me shocked while shaking his hands.

"No no no you are lovely company. Spending time with you is great I was just trying to think about what we could do together."

"Well, I have an idea. Why don't we go swimming to help cool you down and make you a little less sweaty." He smiles at my suggestion.

"That sounds great. Let's go grab some swimming wear." He moves to leave but I grab his arm and pull him close.

"Let's go to my hidden lake (Y/N). You know the one we meet at."

"But what about our swimwear?" I give him a sultry smile.

"What about them?" His cheeks are quickly covered with a crimson blush and I giggle at his embarrassment. We then link arms and head off to the lake.
