Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY. If I did then I would have Winter take up the torch for Ironwood after he dies or gets beaten so bad he cannot be the Headmaster and General.

Winter's POV
The fire softly crackles as it blazes on in the fireplace, giving the room its only source of light right now. The whole cabin creaks as the roaring winds shove against the building, desperately trying to carry the whole cabin away with them. I know the cabin is sturdy enough to stand against the winds, so I'm not worriedly staring out the window for fear of that. No, right now I am so worried about my husband working outside in nothing but a simple long sleeved shirt and a pair of sweats. He has to be freezing out there, since I'm cold just standing next to the window, and I have a blanket wrapped around my body and a fire going behind me. I know his semblance lets him handle extreme temperatures, but it must have its limits.
While I'm thinking that, a large gust of wind suddenly blows from the way (Y/N) is facing, sending him stumbling back before causing him to fall back into the snow.
"(Y/N)!" My voice leaps from my mouth as I then rush to grab a jacket for myself. I never should have let him go out there dressed in so little. What on Remnant was I thinking? I quickly get my boots on, not caring about having them on properly as I zip up my coat. I grab a the very same dark blue blanket that I was using before and a pair of thin gloves. I know they won't offer too much protection, but they'll help me keep him warm as I get him back to the cabin. With everything set I rush over to the door, only for it to fly open, allowing the raging winds to rush into the cabin, dragging in snow with them as they invade our warm, or I guess formally warm, vacation cabin.
Despite this, my heart doesn't plummet downwards, because I soon see that the reason the door opened was because of (Y/N). The soldier quickly rushes into the small building before grabbing the door and struggling to get it shut. The winds must be incredibly strong for (Y/N) to struggle against them. I quickly rush over to him and help my husband force the door closed. I manage to hear the door click shut, but I can still feel the wind pushing itself in through the cracks. Knowing that (Y/N) has it, I rush to lock the three locks to keep the door shut. I even manage to bunch up the dark blue blanket up and stuff it up against the bottom door to try and keep the wind out. (Y/N) lets out a sigh of relief as he steps back from the door, causing some of the snow on his body to fall to the ground. Now that everything has died down, I remember what had whipped me up into a frenzy in the first place.
"You boob!" As I say that, I smack his shoulder, "I told you it was too cold and windy out for you." (Y/N) doesn't react to the shoulder hit, as usual, and instead focuses on bushing the remaining snow off of him.
"Sorry ma'am. The wind got fiercer than I expected, but I did manage to get the cabin's defenses back up. Now we don't have to use any of the back ups." Once the snow is off of him and on the floor, (Y/N) stands up straight as he addresses me. My head shakes as I move forward and wrap my arms around his cold feeling body.
"We're on our honeymoon, (Y/N), you can relax." It takes him a minute before he actually takes my advice and wraps his arms around me.
"Sorry, ma'am." My head moves so that I can look him in the eyes as I speak.
"And no more "ma'ams". You're my husband now, you can just call me Winter if you want." (Y/N) gives me one of his rare blushes as he nods.
"Sorry Winter. Guess I'm still getting used to the married part." He moves his head down before shyly looking at me. Seeing this shy expression replace his usually stoic face has become one of my favorite sights since he and I got together.
"Its fine dear. I think most newly weds feel the same way for a while." My words seem to calm him more as he then rests his chin on my shoulder, allowing me to feel how cold his skin is. My arms release him, allowing me to hold up the pair of gloves I grabbed earlier, one in each hand. "Put these on. They'll help you warm up faster." (Y/N) looks like he's about to protest, but cuts himself off and nods.
"Okay." He moves his hands up to take the gloves, but I put both in one hand and stop him with my now free hand. He gives me an odd look before I pull the hole of the glove apart and hold it open for him to put his hand in. The (H/C) man soon gets the idea and pushes his right and into the right glove and then his left into the left one. Once he is all set, my lips gain a smile to them before I gently kiss his now clothed hands. (Y/N) doesn't seem to mind as he smiles back at me. Once I'm done with my kisses, (Y/N) then reaches up to my collar and grabs ahold of my coat's zipper. Hmm, I totally forgot I had that on. The hunter then pulls the metal piece downward until he reaches the bottom of the coat. Once there he then lets it go, allowing me to take the coat off. Once I've slide the sleeves off of my arms, (Y/N) then takes the coat from me and hangs it back up with the other coats, leaving me in just my white winter sweater. Once that's done he moves his arms around me and I do the same, allowing us to hug each other by the door.
As we hold each other in our arms, a particularly strong gust of wind blows in, sending a chill through my body. (Y/N) quickly notices this and starts walking us over to the fireplace, which has sadly gone out in all of the commotion.
"Here, you rest while I get everything set up." Before I can say anything, (Y/N) has already let go of me, now pushing the cabin's couch over by the fireplace. Once there, he then grabs one of the thicker blankets, and after I'm sitting on the sofa, he wraps it around me. I then get to watch as (Y/N) moves over to the fireplace with some fire dust in his hands. He sets the crystals down on his right before taking off his gloves and placing them on his left.
"Why'd you take them off." Without looking at me, (Y/N) grabs the red dust and uses his aura with it to relight the fire that had gone out. Once the fire is nice and strong he grabs the gloves and stands as he turns towards me.
"Didn't want to risk burning the gloves."
"Oh that makes sense." I then glance down at the gloves before looking back up at him. (Y/N) then puts the gloves back on, earning a sigh of relief from me. I then open the blanket up with one arm, allowing him to join me on the sofa. (Y/N) soon joins me and after we are snuggled up against each other, we wrap the blanket around us and watch the fire. After a few minutes of just listening to the fire, I move us so that we are more laying on the couch, with me on top of (Y/N).
"Sorry about the blizzard. The weather forecast said we wouldn't have any for another week." (Y/N) chuckles as he rests his hand on my back.
"No, its fine. Not like you could control the weather after all." His hand then gently starts to rub up and down my back, "Besides, I get to spend my time with you, so I'm happy." My cheeks warm up as my smile grows from his loving words. With the fire blazing and the wind roaring outside, I lean up and gently kiss my new husband, who happily returns the kiss.

This is kind of an epilogue to the Winter X Reader story, though it could also just as easily work as a stand alone one shot. I just thought it would be interesting to do as contrast with the Glynda one-shot, which was a sort of epilogue to the Glynda X Reader story made before said Glynda X Reader story was made, with this one-shot/epilogue coming after its corresponding story was finished. I really think I'm the only person who finds that interesting, so I'll just shut up now before I ramble. Hope you enjoyed it and I hope you have a great day/night depending on when/where you're reading this.
