Robin (One Piece) X Reader

Disclaimer: I don't own One Piece. If I did, I doubt I would have gone nearly as detailed with the world and story as Eiichiro Oda did with the series because holy crap, that man must have eaten a Devil Fruit that allows him to create so much and still keep going.

(Y/N)'s POV

I sit up in my med bed with a coughing fit, insidently coughing up some blood into my hand because of it too. I let out one last cough to clear my throat before looking at me now crimson had. Eh could be worse. As I lower myself back to the bed, something that feels like a few hands touch my back and slow my decent. As I back contact with the bed another hand appears next to my head, overing me a towel.

"Thanks Robin." I manage to get out as I take ahold of the towel. Soon enough I can see Robin standing in the doorway of the room. Ah, speak of the demon child and she shall arrive. As I clean my hands, Robin walks over and soon sits on one side of the bed. I grin a bit at her before speaking, "Hey Robin, what's up?" She looks at me for a second before giving me a soft smile as she takes the towel from my hands.

"You still have blood on your face (N/N)." As the devil fruit user speaks, she gently wipes some of the blood off of my face.

"Oh, well thank you." I say with the smile still on my face. She gently wipes my face for a minute or two before she finally moves it away and looks at me again, "How do I look now?" I ask before grinning at her like I did before. Robin then gives her signature giggle before speaking.

"Better, though I suggest you rest for now." I nod my head and start to lay back some while closing my eyes. I then rest there for a few minutes, I still feel Robin's presence next to me, despite expecting her to leave by now. Another minute goes by before I open one eye to look at her. Sure enough, Robin is still looking down at me with a tiny smile still on her lips.

"Robin?" I ask as I open my other eye to look at her, "Something up?" She lets out a breath before looking off to my side.

"Why?" The devil fruit user asks in a soft voice.

"Why what?" She then looks at me without turning her head.

"You know what I mean. Why take so much damage just to try and save me?" She asks in a firmer voice. I grin and shrug a little, which actually hurts some, as I respond.

"Hey, you know I can take a lickin and keep on kickin. Give me a few days here I will be fine." Her eyes seem to sadden a little bit at my words.

"But you took more than just a few punches this time. You took a Rankyaku Rodan from Kaku to the back, a littleral mauling from Jabra, and a Rokuogan from Lucci that sent you flying into the ocean!" Robin's voice picks up as she goes on, "And then you not only swam back to us, but you also managed to kill Spandam and helped Franky destroy his weird elephant sword. So why (Y/N), why would you do all of that?" Shock settles in me as I see Robin take a deep breath to try and calm herself down. The only other time I have seen her not calm was when we showed up to rescue her from CP9. Plus she just used my real name, some she's really worried I guess. I let out a soft chuckle as I then reach up and gently cup her cheek with my hand. Robin's eyes widen in surprise a little when I do that.

"I did it to get you." I say softly as I begin to rub her cheek gently with my thumb, "They hurt you and tried to take you away from us. Can't have them do that now can we?" She then looks directly at me with the shock being apparent on her face, "Besides, the others were willing to declare war on the World Government too, I just took the declaration a bit more seriously." I jokingly say to her.

"R-really? You did all of that for me?" I nod my head again.

"Yeah. To be frank I didn't really think too much when I challenged those guys, I just kinda throw myself in there to help you." I say as I honestly don't remember too much, just my desire to keep her safe, "Heck, all I could think about on the swim back was that I had to help you." Robin then sits there and stares at me in shock for a little bit, before she closes her eyes and giggles her signature giggle. Robin then reaches out and gently grabs a hold of the back of my head and pulls me a little close as she leans forward and gently rests her forehead against mine.

"You can be a fool sometimes, (Y/N)." She says softly and with a smile. I then chuckle a little and grin.

"Yeah but that's a part of my charm." Robin giggles at my response.

"Yes, I suppose that it is." She says softly before gently and quickly kissing me on the lips. I can feel my cheeks warm a little at the kiss, but I also can't help but keep grinning at the feeling of her kissing me, "Thank you, (Y/N)."

"Shouldn't I be thanking you for the kiss?" My joke gets a smile out of her as Robin lays me back down on the bed.

"You can thank me by resting. You've earned that much." She says as she lays her head down on my chest, careful not to hurt me.

"Okay Robin. Sounds good." I say before closing my eyes and getting some rest with her at my side.

So just encase anyone is wondering, (N/N) means nickname. Just wanted to clear that up. Azureman136 requested this and I meant to get this out last month a little bit after the Hinata part was posted but some things came up. Hope you liked it.
