I knew from the minute we walked out of my bedroom that this friendship had become somewhat awkward. He kept scratching the back of his head and diverting his eyes when I attempted to apologise or even speak.
"We're here," he placed his hand on my shoulder reassuringly and brought me out of my daze. I was dreading every second of our time here, but if Sam wanted to be a dick lately then I would be one too.
"Hey bro." Sam shouted across the beach. "Who's the chick you've brought along?" He smiled at me. I'm so glad there was minimum visual distance, I would have died if he knew that I was the girl he wanted to be with tonight.
"Izzy." Alex smirked. He must have been more than excited to see Sam's reaction, because before I could even blink up at Sam, Alex pulled me into his embrace and kissed my cheek.
I turned around, still enclosed in Alex's muscular arms. Sam's face was burning red and I could see the anger in his eyes, but he played it off so well. "Alright Izzy, this is Rebecca."
"Aren't you the girl that got pushed down the stairs at school?" Rebecca let off a small laugh and placed her hand over her mouth. "I recall the person who did it was you." I glared.

There was tension in the air and I was starting to feel uncomfortable. I didn't know Rebecca had hurt Izzy, if I knew then I wouldn't have even considered talking to her the day she arrived.
After a few minutes of pure silence and evil glaring between the girls, I grabbed ahold of Rebecca and pulled her into my side. She relaxed and looked up at me through her lashes. I couldn't help but notice the amount of make up she had layered up on her rosy cheeks - if that was from the fact I pulled her into my side, or the use of blusher.
"I don't like her." Rebecca whined, glancing behind her.
"Well that's not my problem," I muttered. In sync with Rebecca, I turned around as she did for the second time, and my eyes met Izzy's; she was laughing at Alex and he was holding her tightly, nibbling at her neck and laughing along to her sweet giggle - but there was a lot more in her expression. Her lips said happy, but her eyes screamed paranoia and sadness - was it because of me? Did I push her too far?
"Rebecca, I'm going to get us a drink each. What would you like?" I smiled down at her as she lay upon a sun bed - there was no need for it really, it was getting dark and we'd be round the fire in no time.
"I'll have vodka and coke," she grinned. I wasn't assuming she'd even drink tonight, she told me she had changed. No alcohol, no drugs, no smoking.
"Are you sure?" I wasn't too bothered, I was drinking too, and though I shouldn't because I have to drive, I felt the need for it because Izzy's here.
"Yes?" She frowned. I gave her an apologetic smile and rushed off towards the beach bar.
"Sam," Izzy muttered nervously, "can you order me a drink please, Alex wouldn't allow it because I'm a year younger and I can't get it myself."
I stared down at her as she held out a five pound note forcefully. "I'm not sure you can handle it." I smirked.
She sighed heavily, a little agitation was to be heard in her mumbled whispers. She looked at me with saddened eyes and I couldn't help but frown. "But just this once, okay?" I smiled.
"Ok," she grinned, walking away from me to prevent questions from the bar man.
"Alright dude, what can I get you and whichever fine ladies you've got?" He said smoothly.
"A pint of larger, vodka and coke, and also a large bottle of vodka, some orange juice on the side, jack Daniels and some shot glasses."
The man looked amused and asked for my ID, without hesitation I whacked it out and waited patiently for the drinks.
"Here we are man, that'll be £24.65." I handed him the money and walked towards Izzy with the tray of drinks. She was stood with Alex, looking rather anxious.
"Sam," she smiled. Alex gave me a quick glance and raised a brow at the alcohol.
"I have some vodka and orange juice for us three, and then jack Daniels for you, missy." I winked, knowing that she wouldn't be able to handle it.
"What are you playing at dude." Alex groaned. "Girls can't handle Jack Daniels and I told her no."
"Well sorry dad, but that sounds like a challenge to me, right Izzy?"
She looked nervously at Alex and then whispered something into his ear, he seemed to calm instantly. "Yeah, that does." She smirked at him and grabbed ahold of the bottle.
"Take the vodka and orange for a moment, I need to give Rebecca her drink and I'll be right back."
Alex took the remains from me and I rushed over to Rebecca. She seemed to be asleep, her eyes were closed peacefully and she looked so relaxed. I didn't want to wake her, so carefully I placed the drink beside her and ran back over to Izzy.
"I'm amazed she didn't question your disappearance." Alex laughed.
"I told her straight." I joked.
"Yeah, she's asleep buddy." Izzy giggles, patting my back.
Maybe now she feels better, and maybe I was wrong to think getting with girls once again was a good idea because I didn't want that. I wanted Izzy. She made me different, and I didn't want to hurt her... Maybe it's for the best.

"Shots shots shots shots!" Cheered Alex and Sam as I gulped down my sixth shot. Vodka and Orange juice was heavingly. I was starting to feel a bit dizzy and my vision was a blur, but I held it back, I placed myself upon the sand and sat up straight.
"Let's play truth or dare." I giggled, letting out a hiccup.
"That's a child party game," Alex laughed. I frowned at his and pulled his leg until he sat beside me, Sam followed suit and I smiled at him.
"Oi Jake, Sarah and Gia, want to play t or d?" Sam shouted across the beach. The three of the turned to face us and nodded, rushing over.
"I'll go first," Alex grinned, spinning the bottle. It landed upon Jake and I began to giggle helplessly, Jake stared in confusion and hoped for the best, but it wasn't enough.
"I dare you to lick vodka off Jakes stomach," Gia laughed uncontrollably. I laughed along, giving her a hi-five.
"No way!" Alex mumbled. He let out a pout and I pushed him towards Jake. "Do it you wimp!"
He tipped a bit of vodka on Jakes stomach and frowned, his tongue touched in a quick flick and he cringe helplessly.
"Hahah, oh god." I couldn't help but laugh and it felt like I was being tickled uncontrollably. "My go!"
I spun the bottle, and just to my luck it landed upon the one person I had hoped not, yet for, Sam.

I still felt stable enough from my ten shots and four beers, not to mention Izzy was paralytic right now, she had drank half of the Jack Daniels and six shots.
"My go!" Izzy sang cheerfully as she struggled at her attempt of spinning. I knew my hopes were near to none so I blanked the fact she had just done that, and peeked over at Rebecca, who was still momentarily asleep.
"Sam?" Mumbled Jake. "Sam it landed on you."
I was soon pulled out of my daze and I look over at the bottle, it was aimed at me and I blinked helplessly.
"I dare you to make out," Sarah smirked.
The look in Izzy's eyes said she was worried, but I couldn't help myself. I placed my arm around her back so my hand was fiddling with her hair; her lips looked so fragile and plumped, and just as I began to lean forward, I felt her lips press against mine hungrily.
I closed my eyes as I let my teeth nibble at her lips, she gasped, allowing me to slip my tongue into her mouth. She moved in sync with me, our tongues entwining in and out. That's when I felt her hand press against me and I stopped, pushing her away gently and breathing heavily.
Her eyes were full of lust from the alcohol, and before I could calm her, I felt a hand slap against my face.
"What the fuck are you doing!" Yelled Rebecca. She looked confused and angry.
"Calm down, it was a dare." I groaned.
She wouldn't have it though, before I could stop her from taking things too far, her hand was grasped around Izzy's messy hair.
"Get off her!" The rest of the guys and girls around me yelled, still unable to help.
Alex attempted to pull Rebecca off her but her first collided with his nose and he fell to the floor whining.
Izzy didn't seem too bothered by the hair pulling, she was giggling and putting her arms out to me.
"Rebecca let go of her, she's drunk."
"I don't care, I'll kill her if I have to." She growled. Wow, talk about dramatic.
Izzy must have started to realise what was going on because her face went from a grin to a frown. She turned swiftly, stared at Rebecca who was about to swing for her, and grabbed ahold of her travelling knuckle.
"What do you think you're doing?" Izzy laughed. Well, alcohol worked well with her reactions by far. Her attitude changed dramatically.
Rebecca yanked at her hair again and izzy let out a small giggle. "Don't be a bitch," she smiled, forcing her first into Rebecca's eye. I stood bewildered by the event and her actions. Rebecca fell to the floor, whining and holding her face in pain.
I couldn't help but smile. Rebecca's brother came running over, and I chased after Izzy. Alex was on the floor still, gripping his nose, but he's get help. I just needed to stop her.
