*Jake's POV*
I looked up at the huge jet that was leaving me behind. I wondered what window she was sitting by. We had managed to escape the underwater facility in one piece, surprisingly.
After we were out of there, Sherry took me to the CDC, where they took my blood and made a vaccine for the C-Virus. She was taking another flight to another assignment. We had saved the world right? There was no reason for her to want any more to do with me.
Finally, her plane faded from view. I probably wouldn't ever see her again, but I had promised her I wouldn't return to my old habits. I owed her that much.
I slipped my sunglasses out of my pocket, raising them to my face. Once they were on my eyes, I put the pedal to the metal, driving my motorcycle through the desert, still envisioning my new reason to be alive leaving me on a huge jet plane.
*Sherry's POV*
I watched until the tiny black dot that was Jake disappeared. We had done everything we needed to do. We had defeated Ustanak, we had saved the world, and everyone was happy.
Well, almost everyone.
I didn't want to part ways with Jake. We had been through so much together. He had saved me a number of times, comforted me when I needed him there, and even understood how I felt. We both had mutations in our genes that changed us somehow.
He had antibodies that protected him from the freakish experiments his father had started. I had genes from a virus my father had experimented with that allowed me to heal myself when I was injured. Jake had reacted like every other normal person would, but still treated me the same after that.
My boss, my new boss that is, had told me that love couldn't get in the way of my job. I had more people than just Jake to protect. Over seven billion others. He still held a special place in my heart though.
If it hadn't been for my experience when I was a child and my old friend Leon, I would've quit for Jake. He quit his old routine for me. It felt like a betrayal leaving him there. But, it's not like we would ever be able to have a normal life together, right?
Maybe we could though. A couple of kids, a wedding, a family....
I could easily see us sitting around a Christmas tree, watching our children open their gifts.....
Then I was reminded why I would never be able to have that. My phone rang, making me jump clean out of the airplane seat. I pulled my phone out, looking at the screen. What was Chris Redfield doing calling me? It should have been Leon. I only ever talked to Chris once or twice in my lifetime.
"Sherry? Sherry Birkin?"
"Chris. What are you calling me for?"
"We have a new situation in the Middle East. Another virus. This one seems to turn people into anything under the sun. It's like nothing we have ever seen before. The BSAA is already over there, but we need backup. We need you. We need Leon. We need Jake."
I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Okay. I'll be there when I can be. My boss will have to okay everything. It'll take time but I will do what I can. As far as Jake and Leon, I don't know where they are. Call Leon's supervisor."
"Wait a minute, Jake isn't with you? I thought you two had a thing. Sherry, we have to have him. We can't beat this without him."
"Look, Redfield. You know as well as I do that in this business, you can't exactly have a life. You and Jill have a thing don't you? How well is that working out for you? Jake and I aren't talking. He is doing his own thing now. Just not stealing or anything like that."
Chris didn't say anything about mine and Jake's relationship after that.
"Just be here when you can, Sherry. We'll find Jake somehow."

I am basing the next chapter off of the little video of Jake and that girl that you get when you beat the final campaign in Resident Evil 6. After that, I'll come up with things to add to it. Should be pretty simple. I love this game and these characters.
Any suggestions guys? Let me know. :)
LOVE YOU!!!!
