*Chris's POV*

Piers was breathing heavily while I supported his weight. The huge claw he had developed after he had injected himself with the virus was throbbing, pulsating from the electricity running through it.

A mechanical noise sounded above our heads. I turned to look, only to see a huge black screen lowering from a hidden compartment in the ceiling.

The screen turned on. I turned my attention back to Piers, who had started moving again. A silky female voice erupted through the room at that point. "Such a sweet reunion, isn't it, Redfield?"

My teeth ground together as she continued talking. "Unfortunately, it will more than likely be short lived. You see, your little Piers has begun rejecting the virus."

As if on cue, Piers coughed blood across my shoulder. "Once the virus realized that it couldn't take over his mind, it started to destroy his body. The process could be slowed with medication, but, given the circumstances, it wouldn't be in our best interest to give that to you. Have fun. Enjoy him while you can."

The screen went black and started disappearing back into the ceiling. Great. What were we gonna do now?

*Sherry's POV*

I took slow, careful steps. I didn't want to alert the huge man, and all I had for a warning system now were my eyes, my feet, and my hands.

I place one hand on the wall next to me. I could use it to try to pin point his location based on the vibrations against my palm.

Every hair on the back of my neck was standing up. I took a deep breath and slowly started making my way down the long hallway.

*Helena's POV*

We walked past countless doors and hallways. It seemed like we would never find our way out of this facility, like we were in some kind of long, drawn-out syfy film...Which....I guess we kind of were. Your basic plot, with monsters, damsels in distress, hotties coming to save those damsels in distress.....

"Helena."

Jill's soft his brought my thoughts back to the present, erasing the image of Leon from my brain. "Yeah?"

She was kneeling next to a vent, motioning for me to come closer to her. I dropped to my knees next to her, and focused all of my attention on trying to hear.

You could hear voices coming up through the vent.

"We could easily launch an attack now. They would never see it coming. We have all of their best agents trapped here, thanks to our daughter and Landon Wesker."

Landon? Wasn't that the name of Sherry's new partner?

Laughter sounded up through the vent. "Of course. The United States has been so worried about the people here, that they aren't even worried about their own. We could attack the small towns, hit them where they least expect it."

"My wife ladies and gentlemen. She's the mastermind behind the plans. I just make the creatures. Imagine the horror some small town woman will feel when she opens the door to her child's nursery, and instead finds a rabid dog in his or her place."

More laughter. Jeez these people were sick as hell. I could feel my stomach churning.

"But how would you spread the virus without them knowing?"

"We have undercover agents. How do you think Landon managed to get as far as he did with the Birkin girl and her agency? If he can do it we know plenty of people who can. All it takes is one vial slipped into someone's soup bowl, or a vial slipped into an entire town's water supply. Boom. World chaos."
