It was Thursday, well it is Thursday. I woke up at 4:45 to take a shower. Once I got out I dried my hair and left it naturally wavy. I put on black leggings, my black nike shirt, and a black tutu. It was the powder puff game today. That's when girls play football. At our school it you're going to homecoming with someone on the football team then you participate in the powder puff game, the boys will coach. Anyways, I put on my makeup and my black nike shoes.
I'm wearing all black but that's because junior girls wear black, and the seniors wear white. This is because juniors and seniors will play each other.
I walked downstairs and made myself a bagel. Haley was busy looking at houses with Adam.
"I feel like you guys started looking at houses kind of quick." I say while my bagel is toasting.
"Well, we have enough money at the moment to do this, and if you put it off too long it gets put off for years." Haley said.
"I've never looked for houses before so I wouldn't know." I say.
"It goes by quick, before you know it you'll be looking for houses with your boyfriend, whoever that ends up being." Haley said.
"What'd you mean by that?" I ask.
"You keep making any boy that's had an interest in you wait. Remember eighth grade and you told him you didn't want to date until high school. Now it's your junior year and you still don't want to date." She said.
"Lucas will wait." I say and put cream cheese on the bagel.
"How long does he think it'll take? If he's thinking you mean wait for another week or month he'd be ok with that. If you're talking more than a year then he's going to move on quick." Adam commented.
I rolled my eyes and sat down.
"At least kiss him." Haley said.
"Gross." I say and bite my bagel.
"We kiss all the time." She shrugged.
"I've noticed." I say.
It took me about five minutes to eat my bagel. Taylor showed up and I hurried out the door. I got in the car and buckled up.
"Should I kiss Lucas?" I ask suddenly.
"Finally, the day has come. Do you want me to drop subtle hints, like 'Hey, Lucas. So I think you should totally kiss Sam after school today.'" Taylor smiled.
"No, Haley just recommended that I kiss him. I was thinking maybe if I kiss him it'll make him wait a little longer." I say.
"If anything you have to make him want to kiss you. Once you kiss he thinks he's got you wrapped around his finger. If I were you I'd wait it out, but lead him on almost. Make him want you even more. It'll keep him attracted and you can see what kind of guy he is in a romantic aspect. If you start leaning in and you freak out just place your hand to his mouth then play it off as a joke. If you do want to kiss him then pull away a little, then lean a little closer and repeat one more time, he'll most likely just kiss you. It's building up anticipation. When Gavin and I kissed for the first time he did that and then-" I cut her off.
"I don't need the details." I cringe.
"You know what I mean though, right?" She asked.
"Yeah, I just don't know about the hard to get stuff." I shrug.
"Just try it out today." Taylor said.
"Well it's hard to play hard to get when he already knows you like him." I said.
"He wants to date you, though. Now he needs to prove to you that he's worth it." She said.
We pulled into the parking lot and were usually one of the first but today we got here at rush time. We found a spot and walked into the school. I began to unlock my combination when Lucas appeared at my side.
"Hey Sammy." He smiled.
"No ones ever called me Sammy and you wrote it on the ball." I say.
"Do you not like it?" He asked
"No, I do, it's just no ones ever called me that." I laugh.
I open my locker and put my books away. I grabbed my phone and closed my locker.
"So you're coaching me today?" I ask and walk down the hall.
"Don't embarrass me." He laughed.
"I'll try not to." I giggle.
"I love your giggle." Lucas said.
"Awe, thanks." I blush.
"You look very spirit filled today, too. Like you've just heard good news, or maybe it's suspicious." He said.
"What would I be hiding?" I ask, but maybe the fact that I will be playing hard to get.
"Something you and Taylor planned." He said.
"Maybe, maybe not." I smirk.
"Are they finding a use for the condoms?" He whispered.
"Ew, why did your mind go to that?" I ask.
"I meant the condom challenge, sheesh." He held his hands in surrender.
"That sounds like so much fun." I gasp.
I noticed Lucas looking oddly at guys passing us and behind us. He was almost giving them dirty looks.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Nothing." He shook his head.
"No, really." I say.
"Your tutu doesn't cover your butt completely and people are staring." Lucas whispered.
"Like you?" I raise my eyebrow.
"I do not stare, I catch glimpses of." He said.
"Right." I say sarcastically.
"Fine, I lied, but it's ok that I stare, I mean you already know how I feel and how you feel." Lucas said.
"That was highly disrespectful, no boy should stare unless they are dating said girl." I say.
"I apologize, but every guy does it. See that guy right there?" He asked and pointed to a popular football player.
"Yeah." I say.
"He has stared at her butt more than once, I guarantee you." He said, pointing to a girl. She had an alright sized butt, nothing too nice.
"So it's 'in your nature'" I say.
"Yeah." He nods.
"So this isn't an excuse?" I ask.
"No, is PMS an excuse for being mad?" He asked.
"Of course not, periods and PMS are a change in hormones in women's bodies and it in fact makes us moody." I snap.
Lucas and I heard the bell and hurried to first hour.I walked into the commons for lunch with Taylor. Most of the volleyball team is on student council or doing something for homecoming week so we weren't sitting together at lunch. Cassie was getting our attention across the room.
"Over there." I say and point to her.
We walked over to Cassie. She was sitting at the table with Jason, Gavin, Ryan, Noah, and Lucas. Cassie was next to Jason, Gavin was next to him. Ryan scooted over so that Taylor could sit next to Gavin. I was about to sit next to Cassie but Noah said something to me.
"What'd you say?" I ask.
"Do you want to sit next to Lucas?" He asked.
Noah slightly nodded his gaze to behind me. I looked and Hannah was behind me.
"Oh, I see." I wink.
I switched spots with Noah so that he could sit with Hannah. I sat next to Lucas.
"He's going to ask her to homecoming in like two minutes." Lucas whispered to me.
I smiled in awe and listened to their conversation.
"I have to go to the bathroom." Noah said.
"Me too." Ryan said.
"Ryan is asking that girl too." Lucas said.
He was pointing to a cheerleader, but a really nice one. She isn't snobby at all. Her name is Sydney Greene.
"They'll be so cute." I smile.
Gavin came back with a poster and a flower. Ryan sat back down with a letter.
"Lucas, will you fold this?" He asked.
Lucas folded it into a paper airplane.
I pulled out my phone and opened it to snapchat.
"Hannah?" Gavin asked.
"Yeah-" she gasped.
"Wanna go to hoco with me?" He asked.
Hannah nodded and hugged him. I got the whole thing on snapchat video and put it on my story.
"Awe." Taylor, Cassie, and I said.
Five minutes passed and we were all finished eating and there was still twenty minutes left of lunch. Oh and Ryan threw the paper airplane at Sydney, she smiled and gave a thumbs up. They were already good friends and have had the biggest crush on each other since fifth grade.
"Let's ask each other a bunch of questions to ask time." Gavin suggested.
"How about answer or dare?" I suggest.
Everyone agreed and they started with Cassie.
"Who was the last person you kissed?" Ryan asked.
"I've never kissed someone other than my parents." She said.
Next was Noah and Cassie got to ask the question.
"When was the last time you got 100% on a test?" She asked.
"Last week." He said.
Everyone rolled their eyes, he's super smart.
"When and why did you get your first boner?" Noah asked Ryan.
I choked on the water I was drinking and everyone began laughing.
"I got my first one the summer before my freshman year and it was because I was swimming and there was this hot girl there. I mean she was smoking hot. Well she was with her other two semi hot friends, they were standing by a bunch of waves. I was with my friends and we were of course staring at them. She was tightening her bikini strap and a wave came. Her hands slipped and I saw her boobs. That did if for me." Ryan laughed, everyone else laughed harder.
"That's great." Noah said laughing through tears.
"Gavin, what about you?" Ryan asked, apparently the same question.
"I can't pass because I already know what'll happen." He rubbed his face and laughed.
"I have a feeling both answers include Taylor." Lucas laughed.
I laughed and saw Tay blush hard. Gavin nodded, which made my eyes widen.
"Ok, this should be awkward." Taylor said.
"I really don't want to tell the story." Gavin said.
"Can I like leave?" I ask.
"You recommended the game." Noah said.
"Alright guys, just because she's at the table, I'll do a different question. When and why did you get your second one?" Ryan asked.
"Alright it was freshman year during Christmas break. My family and I went on a vacation to a water park hotel. My brother and I were in the hot tub, Y'know when you go in the hot tub then jump in the cold pool? Well there was this girl that had to have been my age, if she wasn't then she had yet hit puberty. Anyways I kept staring at her butt because it was a bubble butt. Anyways, she walked into the hot tub and was walking backwards so she could look at her friend. She ran into me and fell on my lap. Then Y'know..." He trailed off.The rest of the day went by quick then next thing I knew I was being called down to the gym early to get ready for the powder puff game. Oh boy...
