I woke up at 10:00am. My phone was ringing but I didn't set an alarm.
"Hello?" I asked into the phone.
"Will you let me in we need to start getting ready and I'm in my pajamas holding a bunch of stuff so people are gonna think I'm crazy." Taylor said.
"I'll be down in a second." I hung up.
I ran downstairs and opened the door. Tay walked in and we went to my room.
"I'm so excited." I said and made my bed.
Tay hung up her dress and laid out her makeup.
"I have everything planned out." She smiled.
Taylor planned out what we would do. She said that first we were going to soak our feet or something. Next we would paint our nails, or in her case apply fake nails. Next we were going to put our dresses on, and a rob over them so they don't get dirty. We were going to do each other's makeup then Haley is doing our hair.
"I also picked us up each two donuts and a coffee." She said.
We ate the donuts as our feet soaked in the tub. I sipped on coffee, which was really good, as Taylor connected her phone to the Bluetooth radio. She turned on the song "Starving" by Hailee Steinfield.
I took my feet out and dried them out. I didn't have to paint my toe nails because my shoes were closed toed. I painted my nails black and the ring finger had two white, vertical lines.
"Need help with your nails?" I ask Tay, she looked like she was struggling.
"Yes." She sighed.
I glued on one of her fake, white nails. We finished with our feet and nails at noon. It has already been 2 hours! We at lunch before we put makeup on, my as well avoid the trouble. We changed into our dresses and put robes over them. Taylor began with my makeup. She put on my foundation, bronzer, blush, and lipstick. I applied my eyeshadow and mascara. I did her makeup almost the same as mine, she just did her eyes differently.
"Haley we're ready!" I yell.
Haley walked in the room with a bunch of hair supplies. I was getting my done first, Taylor was deciding between two hairstyles. I got my hair loosely curled and two braids pinned behind my head. Taylor decided to get semi tight curls.
"It's four twenty." Taylor said excitedly.
The original plan was for Lucas to take me to Taylor's but since she was here we decided that we would drive to her house and leave from there. I grabbed my phone, with a black case on, my purse, and slipped on my black heels. We got in her car, Haley and my mom followed us because they needed a way to come back home, and we headed to Taylor's.
At 4:40 we arrived. Mr and Mrs. Jones came out of the house and guided us to the back garden.
"Let's get some pictures of just you two while we wait." Haley smiled.
Tay and I went under the gardens arch and posed. We had each other's arms around each other's waists, a very popular girl pose used on an everyday basis. We stopped taking pictures and Lucas pulled up with Gavin. Haley went to bring them back.
"I hope they play 'Bad Things' by Camila Cabello because it's been stuck in my head all day." Taylor said.
"Now it's stuck in my head." I say and turn to look at the garden.
"Are you nervous?" She asked.
"Yes." I laughed.
"Do you think you'll kiss tonight?" She whispered, careful of our parents eavesdropping.
"No, well, I'm not sure." I bite my lip.
"Girls." I mom said.
We turned and saw Gavin and Lucas walked up. I smiled big, they looked so handsome compared to when I saw them all sweaty at the game.
"You clean up nice." I joke.
"It's what I do." Lucas shrugged.
Our moms directed us under the arch and made us pose in certain positions, it was very awkward.
"Alright, awkwardness is over." Mr. Jones laughed.
We dropped our smiles and began to talk. We had to leave in a few minutes. I was hoping that my mom wouldn't talk to Lucas. Hope doesn't get you too far.
"It's nice you finally meet you, I'm Sam's mom." She smiled and shook his hand.
"Ok, mom it's time to stop." I roll my eyes.
"Why?" She laughed.
"It's fine, Sam." Lucas chuckled.
"Alright, well next time don't shake hands. You either hug or do nothing." I say and walk away.
Lucas and my mom continued to talk, a few laughs and awes every once in a while would be noticeable.
"We have to go, like now." Taylor said and looked at us.
"Oh my god, we do." I say.
We left, after saying goodbye to our parents and stuff. I climbed into the passenger seat, followed by Lucas driving. Taylor and Gavin were in the back seat. Lucas and Gavin were talking about the game last night. Taylor winked at me, referring to something about Lucas. I rolled my eyes and smiled. Lucas parked in the parking lot, which was filled.
Taylor and Gavin walked to the school holding hands. Lucas' hand grazed mine and he awkwardly pulled away. I grabbed his hand and continued walking. He smiled and we opened the school doors.
"The dance starts in five minutes." I say.
"We're almost in the gym anyways." Taylor said.
"Really, it's pretty much been started. They're playing music and stuff." Gavin shrugged.
We walked through the open doors and a random song was ending. "Starving" by Hailee Steinfield, which is one of my favorite songs, came on.
"I love this song." Taylor said.
"Same." I laughed.
We walked over to a table and set down our stuff next to Jason and Cassie, who we found almost instantly.
