My mom and I got home and I went straight to bed last night. I slept in and woke up at 10:30. The phone buzzed and I picked it up.
"Hello?" I say trying to not sound tired.
I couldn't read the caller ID because I had just woke up, even though I slept in.
"Did you just wake up?" Lucas asked through the phone.
"Yeah." I say.
"What're you doing today?" He asked.
"You wanna come over?" I ask.
"Yes it's just me home right now and I'm lonely." He said.
"You can come over now if you want." I yawn.
"See you in a few." He said and hung up.
He was really excited that I said I wasn't busy.
I remember a week or two ago something like this happened.
Flashback-
"You wanna go out for dinner?" I asked while we were cuddled up on his couch.
"Would I? I'm starving let's go." He said and smiled wide.
He hopped up and pulled me with him. I pulled my boots on and hurried outside with him.
"Where are we going?" I ask curiously.
"That really nice and new restaurant." He smiled.
"That really nice Italian restaurant? Lucas, I look terrible." I said looking down at my leggings, UGG boots, and my blank white shirt.
"You look good in my books." He chuckled.
"I'm not going looking like this." I said and turned my head.
"I was joking, Sam. We're just going to the diner." He shrugged.
"That wasn't funny you gave me a heart attack." I laugh and swat his arm.
"Whatever. We'll go there some other time, though. When we are properly dressed." He said and grabbed my hand.
"We don't have to, it's expensive." I say.
"It's fine." He said.
End of Flashback-
I remember how happy he was when I asked to go out for dinner. We sat in a corner booth and he told me out nice I looked even though I looked bad. He said, and I quote, "Sam, I think I'm starting to fall for you." He whispered so that no one could eavesdrop, even though there was no one really near us. I smiled and quickly pecked his lips after that. It was sweet.
Anyways, I was still laying in bed on my phone. I heard the doorbell, it must be Lucas. I quickly went downstairs to answer it before mom could. I was still tired and probably had no bags under my eyes. I looked in our hallway mirror before answering the door. I had mascara and eyeliner smeared under my eyes. My hair was in a loose and ugly bun.
I answered the door to see Lucas.
"You looked tired." He said and stepped in.
"Yeah, I am." I say.
We headed upstairs to my room. I quickly made my bed and went to my vanity. I took a makeup wipe and cleaned the makeup off my entire face. My pimples and dark circles were revealed. I turned to Lucas, who was on my bed, and groaned.
"I look gross." I say and go to my closet.
I closed the closet door and changed. I put on grey nike pro leggings and a black nike pro sports bra. I was searching for my Adidas tank top but I couldn't find it. I opened the closet and went to my dresser. I noticed Lucas eyeing me. I smirked and rolled my eyes.
"If you're my girlfriend doesn't that give me the right to check you out?" He said defensively.
"I guess it's just so funny. You've seen me in a sports bra plenty of times." I say and place my hands on my hips.
"Right, and I checked you out then. Now that we're together I don't have to be as subtle." He said.
I rolled my eyes and gave up finding the tank top. I sat down on my bed facing Lucas.
"You think I'm cute?" I ask.
"The cutest." He smiled.
"You're not just saying this because you're my boyfriend?" I ask.
"Absolutely not. I mean now I can actually say how hot you are without being slapped, but I'm not telling you just because I can. I'm telling you because you deserve to know and I want you to know. You are beautiful inside and out." Lucas said.
"Awe, thanks." I felt the heat rise to my cheeks and could tell I was red.
"You're absolutely perfect." He said and kissed my forehead.
"You're pretty perfect, too." I say and look into his eyes.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him.
"I've also never seen you without makeup so it seems like I'm hugging a completely different person." He chuckled.
"Yeah I look bad with no makeup." I say.
"You look gorgeous with and without makeup." Lucas said.
"I sound so self conscious now. I'm not one of those people who hate their body I actually like mine but sometimes I'm curious what other people think." I say.
"I guess I do, too." He said.
"Wonder what people think about me?" I ask.
"No, about me. I know what everyone thinks about you." He chuckled.
I furrowed my eyebrows, picked up his shirt, and pointed to his abs. Hopefully he got what I meant.
"Well I mean hair and stuff. Like you can't get a lame haircut but you can't look gay either." He said.
"Are you kidding? Honesty ask any of my friends how much I loved your hair before we even started dating." I say.
He pulled me into a hug and I leaned forward. We both were pushed onto the bed, laying down. I was on top of him, giggling. We were both laughing. I calmed down and faded my smile a bit. I quickly but smoothly connected our lips.
Our lips were moving in sync. I had my fingers tangled through his hair, which I knew he loved me doing. Lucas's hands were resting on my butt, which has become a regular thing. We departed for breath and quickly kissed once more. I moved my hands from his hair to his back. I buried my head in his chest and smelt his cologne. His hands moved up to my back and rubbed it.
I smiled, enjoying the moment.
"Let's go out for lunch." He said.
"Where?" I ask.
"How about that Italian place you want to go to." He said.
"How will you dress up and look nice?" I ask.
"I can run home real quick." He said.
I agreed that we could finally go to this restaurant. I changed into black leggings, a loose light brown sweater, and dark brown ankle booties. I also had a grey scarf on.
I came out from my closet while I was changing. Lucas was sitting in my vanity chair.
"I need to do my makeup." I say and point to the chair.
"You look fine without it." He said.
"Well fine isn't good enough." I say and sit on his lap.
I turned to make us face the vanity. Lucas wrapped his arms around my waist as I did my makeup. I put concealer on, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and finally lip balm which had a pink tint. I looked at Lucas in the mirror and smiled.
"Done." I smile and stand up.
I went to my bathroom to do my hair. I brushed it and curled the ends a little.
"I'm ready." I say and grab my purse and phone.
"Don't worry, I'll just change at my house and we can leave. It won't take as long as you." Lucas said.
"Hey, I'm a girl." I say.
"Well girls are insane." He said.
"Too bad you're dating one." I giggle.
"I know and my girlfriend is insane." He chuckled.
"You're insane." I say.
"Only because you make me." He said and we got in the car.
"We're both insane." I smile.
