"Ahh, guys I'm shaking I'm so nervous." I smile and put my hand out to show them.
"Me too, like what if we have a dress malfunction or they don't like our dresses." Tay said and pressed her hand to her forehead, she was stressed more than anyone.
Tay and I are spending the night at Cassie's. We scheduled a hair appointment two weeks ago for tomorrow after noon. We scheduled a nail appointment about three minutes ago, I was surprised they had room for us.
"They'll love our dresses, Tay. Just relax, you're over thinking and stressing out." Cassie assured.
"Lets all go take a bath in Cassie's moms bathroom. We can just wear a bathing suit, turn the jets on, maybe a bath bomb. It'll be relaxing, Tay. I promise. We'll let you pick the songs, even." I smile.
"Alright, that sounds like fun." Tay smiled and stood up.
We borrowed Cassie's swimsuits and all went to the master bath. Cassie ran the water to a warmer temperature and turned on the jets. They just remodeled the master bath last year, so it was all brand new.
"Which one?" Cassie asked and held out a few different bath bombs.
"How about the gold and sparkly one?" Tay pointed to the package it was in.
"Perfect." Cassie smiled and pulled it out.
We all pulled out our cameras and took a really basic video of the bath bomb being put in because we're "different" than other girls.
I pulled my hair into a messy bun and climbed in after Tay and Cassie.
"This was a good idea." Tay smiled.
"Yeah," I nod and lay back on one of the cushions.
"We can do a face mask after this and watch Netflix." Cassie said.
Tay picked a good station to listen to and we all went on our phones to pick out our hairstyles and take Snapchat videos. Again, we follow trends, not create them.
It took us a half hour to finally get out of the bath, which was practically an indoor hot tub. We changed into our pajamas and put on a face mask.
"Who shirt is that?" Tay laughed.
"Jason's, don't make a remark," Cassie ordered.
"Yes, ma'am." I salute and laid on her bed.
Cassie set a timer for fifteen minutes, which is when we had to take these off. It ended up being the fastest fifteen minutes of my life. We were all singing and dancing to Pandora. Luckily they just peeled off, which was way less messy than having to wash them off.
We went to bed at 10:15, we had a long day ahead of us.Beep, beep, beep, bee-
Cassie slammed her alarm clock off and stood straight up.
"C'mon, ladies. We've got a long day ahead of us." She called.
"Mhmm.." I groan and stand up.
Tay was still sound asleep. Cassie actually dragged her out of bed by her feet.
"My mom cooked breakfast for us, I can smell the bacon and pancakes." She said and we all hustled downstairs. It was 8:30 in the morning, which is too early for a Saturday.
"Good morning ladies." Cassie's mom smiled and handed us all a plate.
"Thank you, Mrs. Lori." Tay and I smile and sit down.
We all are our breakfast and talked with Cassie's mom. She said she was excited for us and told her her prom stories.
Once we finished breakfast we rushed upstairs to get changed and ready for our nail appointments. Cassie drove and we made it there right on time. I picked out a white polish and I wanted my ring finger with a lavender designed on, because my dress was lavender colored. It took us about two hours in the nail salon, but it was so worth it. After we got our nails done and completely dry we went out for lunch. At about noon we went to get our hair done, which took two whole hours. I've never been more bored while feeling so pretty in my entire life. We found a place that didn't have a wait for makeup appointments and we did that until 4:00pm.
Cassie drove us back to her house and we changed into our dresses, we all wore button up shirts to avoid ruining any hair or makeup.
We were ready to go to the picture spot in about an hour. Cassie's mom drove us and everyone we were taking pictures with met us there. It was obviously with Jason, Gavin, and Lucas along with some of our other friends. The three of us were there first, which was super awkward. We took the time to take pictures with us three, though. A few of our other friends showed up asking where the boys were. We had absolutely no clue what was taking them forever.
My phone rang and I picked it up, it was Lucas.
"Where are you? Everyone's waiting." I say.
"We're two minutes away. Just remind us where it is in the park again." He said urgently.
"Near the pond." I say.
"Alright, thanks. Goodbye, I love you." He said and hung up.
Everyone was takin pictures with their friends and dates, we were waiting for the boys to show up to take the big groups picture.
"Here they come." My mom smiled and pointed.
The three of us and our parents all turned to see them quickly pull in. Even their parents were here before them, and let me tell you, if it wasn't prom night I'd be furious.
I smiled as they came running out of the car in their suits, Gavin was pulling his jacket on as he ran.
Lucas was buttoning his jacket and adjusting his tie before he finally looked up to see me. His mouth immediately formed a large grin. Lucas began to walk faster and held his arms out for me. I began to walk to him, well, until his mom hugged him instead. He look at me with an annoyed face and I covered my smile. He finally pulled away from his mom and came to me. He grabbed my hands and looked me up and down. I smiled as he kissed the top of my head.
"You look absolutely gorgeous." He whispered, causing me to blush.
"C'mon, everyone's waiting." I smile and pull him over to the sidewalk going around the pond.
Parents lined up and instructed all of us in poses. First they had the boys line up with tallest in the middle and rippling down on both sides to end with the shortest. Then they had us line up in front of our date for the picture. Parents are perfectionists, I swear.
If you weren't already surprised at how basic we were, then you'll for sure be surprised at what happened next. The boys had to wrap their arms around us from behind. Shocker, right?
"Alright, you two come here to take your date pictures." My mom called to Lucas and I.
She was so embarrassing.
"Hold on, just one second." Lucas smiled.
He pulled out a small, clear box from his coat pocket. It had a white corsage.
"You didn't have to, Lucas." I smile.
"I want to, trust me." He said seriously.
I smiled as he slid it on to my left hand.
"You're going to feel like a princess tonight, got it?" He looked me dead in the eye and had his hands on my shoulders.
I nodded and pecked his lips before my mom hollered for us again.
Lucas and I went under a tree and did the poses we were instructed, knowing it would get us out of here and to dinner quicker. We had reservations to uphold.
"Alright, bye mom. I'll be home at around one, okay?" I smile and hug her.
"Perfect. Have fun!" She called out as I walked away.
Lucas intertwined our hands and we followed the group to dinner. We made reservations at the restaurant inside of the park. It was pretty nice and fairly available for reservations on prom night.
"Wait," Lucas held me outside the door and allowed everyone else to go in.
"What is it?" I ask.
"I wanted to tell you how lucky I am right now. You look beautiful tonight, and I have you all to myself, not only tonight but always." He smiled.
"You're being too sweet." I smile and try as hard as possible not to choke up, I could ruin my makeup if I cry. That can't happen.
"Get used to it for tonight." He chuckled and pulled me into the restaurant.
Lucas was really a Prince Charming, huh?
