My name is Charles Williams, I have been through some pretty rough patches in all my 25 years of living on this earth. My mom and dad died of causes the police wouldn't say. All I had left was my little sister, Jennie Williams.
"Jennie! Where are you?" I called out. She decided to play games by hiding in placed I wouldn't expect to see in our foster home. We were sent from house to house because the people either didn't want us, or couldn't afford us.
"Jennie! This isn't funny, where are you? Madam Sarah will not be pleased, we have a ball to attend." I called out again. Still no answer. Where was that rascal? I heard feet behind me and I tensed up.
"Charles, what are you doing?" Madam Sarah asked. I turned to face her, she had a disapproving look on her face.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I am trying to find my sister. She likes to play hide-an-seek." I said looking her in the eye. She sighed and smiled lightly.
"Jennie, always the odd one." Madam Sarah said. She took a deep breath. "Jennie Williams, you get your behind down here this instance!" She yelled making me jump. After a few minutes, we heard the pattering of feet behind us. I turned to see Jennie with a crooked grin as her starling blue eyes looked from me to Madam Sarah.
"I'm sorry Madam Sarah, I was only playing with Charlie. Forgive me." She apologized. Madam Sarah clicked her tongue and laughed lightly.
"I am glad you are here. Now, you two run along and get dressed. Our guests will arrive." She said ushering us towards our room.
Jennie ran along the our room and grabbed a small, blue dress with pink flowers imprinted on it and ran to the bathroom. I put on a tuxedo that Madam Sarah had for me. I looked in the mirror as I fixed my bowtie. For a 15 year old, I was quite nervous. Jennie was 13 and already bubbling with excitement.
I stared into the mirror and looked at my messy blond hair, my sea green eyes and tan skin. I sighed and looked to see Jennie walk out in all her beautiful glory.
Her brunette hair was tied in a ponytail, her blue eyes had light eyeshadow. She smiled at him and giggled.
"Bro, are you okay?" She asked giggling still. I shook my head and smiled at her. "I just forgot how you look like mom." I replied offering my arm. I remembered due to pictures Madam Sarah had. She grasped it lightly as we walked back out to the ballroom to where Madam Sarah was waiting.
"Glad you could join us children. We are hosting a thank you party to Overwatch for saving our town from the Omnic Crisis." She said with a smile. My and Jennie's eyes widen. We were huge fans of the agents. I, had a child crush on the medic Mercy.
"Charles here can meet his love interest~" Jennie teased nudging me with her arm. My face grew hot in embarrassment.
"Whatever Ms. Morrison." I retorted calming my face. She glared at me and stuck her tongue out. "Now now children, I think our guests are arriving." She said opening the door to a variety of the townsfolk that arrived.
"Ah, Madam Sarah, I am glad you were able to host the party here. I am ever so grateful." The Governor said shaking her hand.
"It's my pleasure Mr. Governor." She replied as they started to arrive. "I think our guests of honor have arrived!" Madam Sarah said looking outside.
Me and Jennie stood side by side and welcomed the Agents to our home. I watched and listed off all the agents I could that came through the door.
It was of course, Jack Morrison that lead the way, along came Ana Amari and her daughter, then Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Winston the gorilla, Tracer, Gabriel Reyes, Genji, and finally the one who made my 15 year old heart flutter, Mercy in all her radiant glory. Me and Jennie smiled as we waved to the agents.
