Charles stood in the training room as visions came back from his fight with Jackson. As if on cue, the sword he had retrieved appeared on his back. He grasped the handle as he withdrew it from it's sheathe, the light glinting off the steel blade. He brought it to his face as the light slipped down the side, showing the face of the Rider.
"You alright Charlie?" A voice asked in the doorway, causing Charles to drop the blade as he turned to see who talked.
"Oh, hi Genji." He said exhaling. Charles bent over and grabbed the blade. He could feel the evil coming from it.
"Ah, the 火の怒り (Hi no ikari) (Anger of Fire)" Genji said. "You've heard of it?" Charles asked. Genji nodded as he walked forward.
"A clansman of ours told me the story of such a blade." Genji said opening his hand. Charles handed the blade to him. Genji gripped the hilt as he twirled it about.
"Legend says that it can kill a Skeletal fire being." Genji said. "You're not wrong there." The Rider spoke, causing Genji to look at Charles.
"Hmm, glad to see the blade is in safe hands and not the enemies. Especially my clan." Genji said tossing the blade to him. Charles caught the hilt as the blade ignited.
"Whoa." The two of them said in unison. 'When in the possession of a Rider, it utilizes the user's Hellfire.' The Rider informed him.
"That's amazing!" Charles said slashing the blade in front of him. "Heh, feel like sparring Charlie?" Genji asked unsheathing his dragonblade and twirling it around. Charles grinned as he stepped back and leveled his blade towards the ninja.
"Thought you'd never asked, loser buys ramen." He said. "Deal." The two circled the training room before Genji dashed forward, slashing down with his green blade.
'Parry, then jab!' The Rider said. Charles parried Genji's slash, stepsided, then jabbed at his breastplate. Genji back up as he glanced down to see a scratch on it.
"Not bad, I can see my training paid off." Genji said smirking under his mask. "I've had an awesome teacher." Charles said. He dashed forward, feigning then attacking his right side. Genji double jumped and dashed forward, clanging against Charles's sword. The two back up as they continued to trade blow after blow. Charles breathed heavily as he twirled the blade, running forward and slicing Genji's armor again.
"Muda Muda!" Genji shouted. He drew out three shuriken and threw them at Charles. "Don't you 'Muda Muda' me!" Charles retorted. He deflected the three shurikens and ran forward. He blocked the slash, jabbed the blade into Genji's hands, twisting, and throwing it out of his hand. He kicked Genji to the ground and thrusted the blade under his chin.
"Looks like you *huff* owe me *huff* lunch." Charles breathed out heavily. He grabbed his hand and pulled him up, sheathing his blade. He looked at the ninja and laughed.
"Looks like the pupil, beats the master." He joked. Genji looked at him and laughed along. "You still have a lot to learn, my small ninja." Genji said getting him into a headlock and rubbing his head. The two laughed as they left for the hangar. Angela, Lena, and Aaron walked over and watched the two enter the hangar.
"Ah, ah, ah! Where do you think you're going?" Angela asked. Charles and Genji looked at her.
"Getting ramen, the safest place for us to get some would be in Hanamaru." Genji said. Angela looked at Lena and Aaron as the two walked away.
"Fine, just don't attract any unwanted attention. Bad enough everyone knows about you Charlie." Angela said sighing. Charles walked over to her and kissed her good bye, leaving for a small ship. The ship hovered as it launched into the air.
