Origin of Fire&Snow Pt. 2

"Ugh, this is disgusting." Lena said as she looked at the blue liquid that was now hardening on David's clothes.

"It would prove to research this liquid to see what exactly Talon was developing." Angela said scraping some of the liquid into a vial and walking away.

"I'm going to go take a shower." David said as he walked away. Julie watched as her husband left until Amelie came in and ran into Gerard's arms.

"Gerard, mi amor, I am glad you are safe." She said as he held her close. "I am my love, but I think I'd rather go to sleep." He said.

"I can't allow that Mr. LaCroix, you and Williams have to debrief the UN executive on your mission." Commander Lawson said as he walked in. The group turned to see Lawson and the Unit walk in. Manhattan, Barnes, Grief, and Apollo stood behind the Commander as they nodded.

"Well, I guess so. David is taking a shower at the moment, Mr. Lawson. He'll be back." Julie said. "That's quite alright Mrs. Williams. It's just a routine brief, so the populace doesn't think that Overwatch is operating above the law." Lawson replied. Jennie, Charles, and Fareeha ran in and watched in awe at the Unit.

"Hi, my names Jennie. What's yours?" Jennie asked. The female looked down and smiled at the little girl.

"My names Chloe, it's nice to meet you Jennie. Your mother and father are very exceptional agents. I am proud to serve with them." Barnes said as she ruffled her hair. Jennie giggled as she followed Barnes and listened to her stories. Fareeha talked with Grief and Apollo as the two shared their stories with the soon-to-be Overwatch agent enthusiast.

Charles glanced up at Manhattan as the young weaponsmith stayed behind the Commander.

"Hi, I'm Charles." He said. Manhattan glanced down to see the boy as he smiled up at him. "Oh, I'm sorry, I was just staying alert in case any missions were ready." Manhattan said. Charles giggled lightly as Aaron sighed in embarrassment.

"It's okay Manhattan, I was just saying hi. Are you okay?" Charles asked. "Yeah, I am Charlie and it's Aaron, 'Manhattan' is only when I'm on mission." Aaron said kneeling in front of the boy.

"That's good to hear. I was curious about you and your squad's relation with Overwatch. If you don't mind me asking?" Charles asked. Aaron looked at Lawson as the Commander nodded before returning to speak with Gerard.

"Well, four gifted people were given the privilege to serve not only America and their countries, but to work with Overwatch and help protect it from terrorists and the terrible Omnics." Aaron said as the two walked away.

~David~

David turned off the water as the steam rose from the bathroom and fogged the mirrors. The shower had clean off the residue of the liquid that splashed on him.

'Those twisted bastards.' David thought as he growled lightly. "David, honey, Commander Lawson is here to speak with you and Gerard." Julie said, shaking David from his thoughts.

"Huh? Yeah, I'll be right down." He said. "Okay, just don't over extend yourself love. Mercy still has to check you. You did get the liquid all over you." Julie said.

"Yeah, I got it Jules." David said as a flash of pain flared before ebbing away. "I love you David." Julie said before leaving. David sighed as he left the shower and placed clothes on. He grabbed the doorknob before smelling smoke.

"What the?" He said before looking at the doorknob to see his hand on fire and the knob white hot.

"What the fuck?" He said in astonishment. The knob died down as it became disfigured, but still functional. He twisted the knob and opened the door as he walked out and closed it. He turned and walked down the hall as he passed by agents.
