As the ship landed, Jack, David, Ana, and Lena waited as the ship made it's landing. David walked up to him and sighed.
"Did you find what you were looking for?" David asked. Charles pulled the chip from his pocket. "I did, but I'm scared to know what is on it." Charles admitted.
"Well, no time like the present." Ana said. Jack nodded as they group walked to the command room. Charles placed the chip into the computer. A screen appeared that showed a purple skull.
"You think you can get past my firewalls? Good luck pendejos." A line of text appeared. Jack growled lightly as Charles went to work on cracking the walls. Lena and Angela looked at eachother until they both left for the rec room. Jack and Ana stayed behind to help until David ushered them away.
"Need any help?" He asked. Charles was silent as he continued to type away. "No? Well, I do have some technical expertise. I remember helping Gabriel and Sombra back in the day. When you and Jennie were bundles of joy still and-" Charles stared at him.
"Or you got it. I'll just head on out." David said walking out the door. Ana and Jack stood out as they crossed their arms.
"That, is some terrible parenting if I ever saw some." Ana said. "Well, considering the fact I've been under Talon's thrawl for most of their lives, I understand the cold shoulder." David said. "Do remember, it's not just your son. He is also the vessel for the Ghost Rider." Jack reminded him. David nodded. He looked at the door, he wanted to help ease whatever burden Charles forced down on his shoulders.
Charles continued to type until he managed to crack some of the firewalls, he found a video from the same day. With a raised eyebrow, he played the video. The video was taken from a first person view.
"Go, go, go, they are vulnerable! Death to Overwatch!" A voice yelled. The soldier Charles was spectating aim their rifle down and began to fire. It felt as if he was there, the memories flowed vividly back to him. The gunfire, the gunsmoke invading his nostrils, the blood. The blood on his hands. Jennie's cold features as she laid in his arms, dying slowly.
The sound of a sniper rifle could be heard, Charles looked as a man on a cliff fired at the Talon troops. Rockets being fired, cries of pain, the scent of death laying down up on the battlefield.
"Widowmaker to command, there are two civilians in play. what should be do?" The voice of the assassin asked.
"They are not of our concern, our concern is those damned agents. Kill them now!" The commander replied. Charles thought he heard the grunts of Widowmaker. Perhaps the assassin did have a heart, she just did a great job of hiding it.
"Back off ya goons!" The cheery voice of Lena could be heard. "Merde, leave her to me." Widowmaker said before going quiet. The video showed the Unit coming in to save the agents. As the Unit, combined with the might of the Agents, they group managed to push them back.
"Fire, Snow, retreat for now!" Widowmaker said. The unit on the cliff fired a shot that hit the camera off of the person's head as it fell to the floor. It flickered as it showed Widowmaker running along with the two agents.
"So, she was there." Charles mumbled. The door opened to show David, Ana, and Jack. Charles turned with a raised eyebrow.
"Come Charles, you need to give this a break. We will find her." David said. "No, not until she's back." Charles retorted. David sighed before walking over and ripping his son from the computer.
"This is now our business, you take a break." David growled. He hated using this tone, but it was the only way to get through to the man. David, along with the help of Jack, dragged a struggling Charles back to his room.
