"Welcome, Overwatch." Zeljan said as he dug the pistol in Charles's head. Angela pulled out her pistol as the rest of the group surrounded him.

"One move and your precious mascot dies." He threatened. David ordered them to lower their weapons as he dropped his weapon.

"Now then, I would like to make a deal with you." Zeljan said. "And what might that be?" Gabriel asked.

"Ah the traitorous Reaper, sided with the people you despise the most. The group that made you join us. Poetic I'd say." Kurst said.

"Let the boy go." Gabriel growled. "Ohohoho, trying to pull a fast one on me now? No, you see, I've learned to always expected the unexpected. I think I'll keep him as collateral while you decide on what you're going to do next." He said removed Charles's restraints and pulling the dazed man up.

"Let my son go." David said. "Not gonna happen Fire, or is it David now?" Zeljan asked. David growled as he watched Zeljan inch towards the exit, the pistol still against Charles's skull.

"Now, I'll take this with me. Insurance actually." He said opening the door. As he moved, he didn't notice a figure behind him. He glanced to see Julie raising a pistol to his head.

"Let my son go. Now." She growled. "Seems as if we are at a stand off." Zeljan said. "Where's your pet?" She asked.

"About him."

~Flashback~

"You can take Jackson and your knife back. But please put the body back where you found it." Zeljan said. Lucifer pouted as he snapped his fingers.

"You're no fun Zelly." He said as he disappeared. Lucifer reappeared next to Jackson as he watched him removed a knife in Charles's thigh.

"What do you want?" He asked. "We're going home." He replied. Jackson placed the knife on his  cart and looked at him.

"Don't you mean you?" Jackson asked. "No, I mean us. Zeljan terminated the contract, which by default, means you're coming back. But don't worry, I have more devices with your name on it." Lucifer said with a grin.

"I'm not going back."  Jackson said. "I didn't ask for permission." Lucifer said as his smile disappeared. Jackson turned to leave until his body disappeared, leaving him a white soul.

"No, not again!" He said as he flew towards Charles's limp body. "Ah, ah, ah!" Lucifer said as a white tether tied to Jackson's soul. A portal appeared beneath Lucifer as he descended, Jackson's soul following. He desperately tried to claw his way from the grasp of the Devil before he was pulled into the hole. A gut-wrenching scream was all Zeljan heard before silence engulfed the warehouse. He stood up and sighed as he walked to where Charles sat and clicked his tongue.

"Now then, what to do with you?" He wondered as he grabbed his chin and forced the dazed man to stare at him.

"You've impeded my plans long enough, even poaching my best assassin. Why is that? Is it because he's family to you? Is that way?" Zeljan asked. Charles bobbed his head as his eyes were glazed.

"Family, that's what you believe makes you stronger, isn't it?" He asked. Zeljan released Charles's chin as he walked to the side.

"Family, you think helps you, but they never do. They just kick you while you're down and need something when you're around. But yet, you treat those agents as if they're your flesh and blood. Biologically, three of them are. Yet, the others, you believe in them. You have this unyielding faith and love towards these people. It truly amazes me." Zeljan said. He continued to pace in front of Charles as his train of thought continued.

"They, have my back. I, will always, watch theirs." Charles whispered. "Trust me, that is blind loyalty. They'll never be loyal to you, once the going gets tough, they'll desert you." Zeljan replied.

"Maybe, it was your fault you have no family. Because you were the one that ran off." Charles replied. Zeljan looked at Charles and walked over to him. He knelt in front of the man as he stared into his glossy eyes.

"Perhaps, perhaps." Zeljan said before the sound of a plane hummed. "Looks like your family is here." He said.

~Flashback end

"So, Jackson is finally in Hell?" David asked. "Yes, he is. But, I will send your son here along with him if you don't back down." Zeljan threatened. Julie gritted her teeth as she lowered her weapon. Zeljan backed up, still holding a dazed Charles.

"Now then, I will turn and leave. You get to keep your Commander and I get to live another day. Sound fair?" He asked.

"What makes us think you won't try to attack us again?" Angela asked. "Fine, you have my word. I will not attack Overwatch. Deal?" He bartered. Angela glanced at the rest of the group as David nodded.

"Fine, deal." She growled. Zeljan smiled as he pushed Charles to Julie and turned as he left. The shadows seemingly envelope him as he walked away from the agents. Julie grabbed Charles's limp corpse as Angela kneeled next to him, her healing beam on him at all times.

"He's got a few broken ribs, his jaw is fractured, internal bleeding. He's lost at least a few pints of blood, he'll need a blood transfusion." Angela said. As she said this, his knife wounds began to heal.

"Well, he won't be needing any stitches. That's a good sign." She said laughing lightly. Charles coughed as he blinked the sleep out of his eyes.

"Oh, hey Angi." He slurred. She smiled as tears fell down her face. "Hi liebling, don't get up. We'll carry you back to base. You need your rest." She said.

"Heh, serves that ninja right. I can definitely hold my liquor." He said giggling lightly before a coughing fit ensured.

"Shhh, save your energy sport." David said placing a hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, we still need our fearless leader." Gabriel replied. The group walked outside as the dropship awaited for them. They managed to enter as the ship lifted into the air and zoomed off back to base. Zeljan emerged from the shadows and smirked.

"You'll be seeing me quite sooner." He said before turning and walking back into the darkness.
