The hall of weapons was exactly like anyone would imagine it, a massive hall full with weapons.

Evelyn wondered over and found a massive collection of staves while Oliver fancied his eyes with the heavy blunts.

A silver two sided hammer with and black strap and handle caught his attention.

“Wow” he muttered. It was beautiful. He picked it up and swung. It was light than his blacksmith hammer and made a pleasant sound when swung.

“This is so cool” he whispered to himself.

He swung it again and accidently hit a different hammer and the clamber rang throughout the hall.

Evelyn walked briskly over to him and stared him down.

“There are dummies that you can practice on at the end of the hall” she informed him.

Oliver observed the rest of the heavy blunts and found he like the hammer he already had the most.

Next he left to see the staffs with Evelyn was picking up each staff and pulling the center of it.

“Why are you doing that?” Oliver asked as he leaned his elbow on the shelves that held the weapons, and crossed his feet.

“To see if it pulls apart into eskrima sticks” Evelyn answered.

She pulled a golden staff apart and it worked.  One of the sticks had a bladed attached to it.

“Let’s go test our weapons out” Oliver pleaded as he jerked his head and eyebrows down the hall.

“Okay” Evelyn replied.

Together they walked down the hall for what seemed like five whole minutes, and probably was.

Evelyn had multiple staff to test with her, some were eskrima and sticks and staffs but some were only one kind of weapon.

She picked up a silver staff that Oliver believed to split. She whacked the dummy in the head to see how it felt.

“Too springy” she assessed and put it down gently and picked a pair of wooded eskrima sticks encased with silver and tested them out.

She set them down in a different pile.

Oliver just swung his hammer and knocked the head of his dummy clean off the body.

“Like a boss” he purred.

“Heads up” Evelyn warned as she tossed Oliver a staff that matched his hammer. It was black with a brown leather handle on both sides and the middle section was silver.

“I’m going to go look for the whole set of weapons like these” Oliver informed Evelyn as the left the dummies.

He looked at the bows first. He quickly found a matching set of arrows and a bow and found everything else he needed even quicker.

Over the next couple of hours Oliver and Evelyn had tested and picked the weapons they would use for training. Now they would decide if they wanted an extracurricular weapon.  He searched up and down and didn’t find any but Evelyn managed to find a pair of bladed boots that she said were really “cute”, whatever that meant.

The day had retired and night took over its shift. Oliver stayed up late exploring the castle until he realized that he didn’t know where he would sleep. His chest wound stung occasionally but he didn’t need to sleep in the hospital again and he hadn’t been shown his own apartment yet. He decided to search for Evelyn again.

He walked about three steps further when he met Kyle haunting around the hallways,

“Hey” Oliver shouted as he raised his arms. Kyle marched over to him.
