Evelyn rushed towards Oliver and helped him up.

“That was stupid of me to let you get involved. You could’ve been killed by the monsters or Felix” she whined. “Guess it’s another night in the hospital for you” she added to light up the mood.

Oliver looked around at the broken room. Most tables had exploded, wood and stones where scattered everywhere, dust floated in the air, and there was a gaping hole in one of the walls that Evelyn ad kicked Felix into.

“That was the best battle I’ve ever seen” Oliver replied.

“That was fun” Evelyn agreed. Her blue eyes sparkled and a smile lit her face. “That was like a crazy training exercise” she added.

“How would you know?” Oliver sneered. The pair laughed and limbed towards the hospital where the nurses and senior members of the rebellion where hiding.

“What happened?” Bruce demanded to be told as he slammed his shield on a table.

“We found out that the King was using the ancient monster people things to track us down and destroy us” Oliver explained.

“Good job” Evelyn complimented and the two high fived. Oliver finally answered a question about the war.

Bruce lance looked appalled. “King’s these days use any kind of method just to keep their stupid throne” he spat.

“We also obliterated the lounge room” Evelyn added.

“Aw man… that sounds like a fun room” Oliver whimpered.

“Where there any soldiers?” Kitsune asked. Oliver didn’t expect her to ask about war.

“Just one” Evelyn answered, but she said one in an annoyed way and Evelyn and her dad exchanged quick glances.

“Let me clean you two up” Kitsune said as she beckoned them forward. She had her scarlet her in a braided ball and was wearing all black.

“Stains don’t show up on black” she explained her Goth look. “Everybody else shew, I’m with wounded warriors” she said sweetly. The room cleared out quickly and Kitsune sighed with relief.

“How’s your day been?” she asked casually as she whipped their wounds with a wet rag.

“Well it’s not much different from my other days. I got a boatload of information then went threw some epic battle and came back to the hospital” Oliver explained sarcastically.

“I hate being a nurse” Kitsune complained. “I want to cook but the senior warriors say we need more nurses because other women don’t want to get their hands dirty. I just view healing as putting up makeup and preening the body” she added. Kitsune looked at the confused expressions on Oliver and Evelyn’s faces.

“What” she asked.

“Sounds like you like being a nurse” Oliver explained.

“Let me finish. I don’t enjoy nursing or healing wounds. I haven’t cooked much but when I did it was exciting. I love all the bits and pieces that come into it. I view cooking as an art. I also have some opinions about the way the cafeteria is run now. We need fancier tables, better napkins, decorations, a more organized kitchen and serving system and designated eating times” she added dreamily. “We also need a bell that I ring to remind the other revolutionists to come and eat” she added.

“Ow” Oliver shouted as Kitsune stabbed him with a needle.

“Sorry” she apologized. “I get carried away sometimes” she explained.
