The little girl leant against the chainlink fence that seperated the parkinglot from the
bathrooms.
She twirled a baton sadly, her blonde curls hanging limply by her shoulders from the
almost non-existant rain.
I stopped in front of her and pressed in, shouting, 'Why are you doing this to me? Who
made you?!'
'W-what?' She began sobbing.
'Alex, what're you doing?!' Grace cried as her and Jensen came up behind me.
'What are you?' I spat.
'Mummy!' She cried.
I pulled a dagger out of my hoodie and pressed it to her throat.
'Alex!' Grace yelled.
The girl stopped crying and stared me down like a kid caught doing something wrong
but not caring.
'You got me.' She smiled, slightly. 'Don't you feel special?
'What are you? Why are you doing this to me?' I hissed.
Her blue eyes flashed silver, for a second. 'You tell me.'
I took a step back and dropped the dagger, and the others followed.
'You're the ShapeShifter from the bank...aren't you?' I whispered.
'Yay, we've gotten somewhere.' She said sarcastically, smiling slyly.
'Why are you doing this to me? Why are you doing this to us?' I asked.
'Wait,' Jensen said, 'ShapeShifters aren't powerful enough to do all this.'
'Two in one setting, you are getting smarter.' She smiled. 'No, I'm not just a Shifter.'
She spread her arms. 'I am Uriel.'
***
'Son of a bitch.' I breathed.
'Language.' Uriel scolded lightly.
'WHo sent you to do this?' Grace snapped.
'One of the Angels.' Uriel shrugged.
'The same one that sent Michael?' I asked.
'Maybe.' Uriel shrugged again. 'It isn't my buisness to tell.'
My hand burned as I summoned the scythe and pressed it to the little girl's throat.
'I should send you to Hell right now you little bitch.' I spat.
Uriel struggled to swallow. 'You do that, and you'll be stuck in the loop forever.'
The Angel warned.
I swallowed hard. 'You're lying.'
'Try me.'
After a second, I let the vessel go.
'Please. Just make this stop. I can't keep going through this.' I pleaded.
'I could...' Uriel mulled it over. 'But I don't know if you've learnt your lesson yet.'
'I've learnt it!' I cried.
The girl whacked my head with the baton. 'Don't lie.'
'Ow...' I rubbed my forehead. 'Was that really necessary?'
'Don't lie.' Uriel repeated, serenly this time. 'There are many lessons here, but I
suppose the most important one would be...choosing who survives.' The little girl smiled
slyly.
Jensen had saved my life a few times now- but Grace had been with me since before I
had become a Rogue Demon Hunter.
But Jensen was meant to die, AT MY HAND, anyway...
'But because I have nothing against you personally, and Angels can always forgive, I will
stop your loop. Tomorrow when you wake up, it will be Friday,' the dark smile returned.
'And when one of you dies, you'll stay that way.'
***
'Dude...my head's killing me.' Grace moaned.
'I'm in too much pain to hate you.' Jensen groaned back.
I sat up, and immediately checked the date; Friday, August 21st.
I jumped up and hugged both Grace and Jensen, who understanably freaked out.
'Uh, Alex...are you feeling alright?' Jensen asked.
'Why are you touching me?' Grace added.
I let them both go and sat on my bed.
'Uh...what do you guys remember?' I asked.
'That apparently the Angel's have a tab on your ass.' Jensen said.
'And something about pie?' Grace asked.
'Awesome.' I jumped up. 'Now let's get the Hell out of here.'
'What, no breakfast?' Grace sounded hurt.
'No breakfast.' I beamed.
