I unno anymore

I slung my bag, adorned with punk pins and such, further over my shoulder while I stood in line with Grace.

And I was missing a Kasabian interview for this why?

'Maybe it's your fault he left how he did.'

'It's all his fault.'

'Burn the house.'

'Eat some salt.'

'Drink cyanide.'

'Burn his car.'

'Don't listen to the mushroom. I know what it did to the toadstool last night.'

A hundred different voices, all talking at once, suddenly filled my mind.

Dropping my bag, I covered my ears as they became more violent and more random.

It soon became too much to bear-

'Shut up!' I screamed.

They were immediately silenced, and I dropped my hands and looked up.

The people in the library gave me weird looks ranging from quizzical to annoyed to plain freaked out.

Grace shook her head sadly, as if she were expecting something like this. 'Come on, we better go.' And she pretty much dragged me out.

Jensen pulled away the bright light he had been shining into my eyes.

I sat on the couch in our living room, and he sat on the table at my level.

'Remind me again why I'm seeing a VAMPIRE for this and not a proper doctor?' I asked as Jensen pulled a blood-pressure machine out of nowhere.

Grace sat on the floor with her back to the wall facing us, and looked up from the book she was reading. I couldn't read the title- my dyslexia was too bad.

'Becuase,' She said. 'We don't know if you're sick from mortal ailments or...something else.'

'Well that's a relief.' I said sarcastically as Jensen released my arm and pulled out one of those gross-tasting popsicle sticks.

He stuck it in my mouth, checking my tongue and throat.

'Well,' He said, removing it as I choked, 'You SEEM fine, physically, besides your tongue which has a white covering over the middle. A diagnostic commonly found on victims of the Black Plague, but that's been dormant, almost extinct, for almost sixteen years.'

Funny thing was, I was almost 16 in September.

'Nah, that's not weird.' I said, leaning back and waving a hand. 'I knew a kid back in High School before I got taken who had the same thing. Liam something, his name was.'

'So you're saying you got that white thing from Liam?' Grace smirked, and I narrowed my eyes.

'Maybe.' I shrugged.

'Right.' Jensen said. 'Anyway, I can't find anything physically wrong with you.' He repeated.

'Probably a good thing I hadn't told them about the voices...isn't it?

'Umm... can I help you with that Holly chick?' I asked hesitantly.

Jensen stood, looking slightly shocked.

'Uh...I guess. Day shifts cool with you?'

I shrugged, looking out at the almost complete darkness. 'Sure.'
