I gasp as I come out of the fear landscape. That was not fun.

I place my head in my hands and stare at the floor.

"You'll get better over time," Eric says, "we will be practicing each obstacle separately each day to prepare you for the final test."

"I have to do that again?" I say, still faintly out of breath.

"Not exactly," he explains, "that was a fear landscape, in which you are aware of what's happening. You will be practicing using a serum. Much like that aptitude test, you won't be aware of what's real or not."

I nod. Not only will I have to do it again, but I'll have to do it as if it were real.

"If it makes you feel any better," Eric begins, noticing the expression on my face, "you had only 4 fears. That's really good. Only one other person in dauntless history has had that many."

He looks at me. I blush. Now I know where Four got his nickname.

"You were in there for around 8 minutes. That's pretty good for a straight dauntless result."

"You know my result?" I question him.

"Yeah," he responds, "all the leaders know the results."

"Oh."

He comes over to where I am and sits next to me.

I look into his eyes, expecting to see pity or remorse, but I only see love. He drapes his arm around me.

"I realize," he begins, "that I forgot to ask you something."

"Oh yeah?" I say, "and what might that be?"

"Will you be my girlfriend, Liv?"

I blush beet red and nod. He pulls me in for a passionate and long kiss.

"Ahem."

I pull away from Eric to see Four standing in the door way. It's awkward enough for your brother to see you making out with a guy, but let's not forget, Eric's a dauntless leader. Not to mention, Four hates the guy.

"What's going on here?" Four questions, his voice hard as flint.

"Well, that's not really any of your business, now is it, Four." Eric sneers back. I bite my lip as color rises to my cheeks.
"I think I'll just be going now...." I say as I begin to sneak my way out of the room but I am soon blocked by Tris.

"What's going on? Four, I thought you just came into get files?" Tris questions, annoyed.

"I did, but that was before I saw this idiot eating my sisters face." Four growls. I glare at him.

"You're the idiot! I'll kiss who ever I like, Tobias, because in case you haven't noticed, you're not my parent!" I yell, unable to keep quiet.

"I might as well be!" Four says back, upset.

"Clearly. If you're just gonna stifle my freedom, then you're the same as Marcus!" And with that, I storm out of the room.

I sit with my legs over the chasm, listening to the water rush beneath me. I sigh. I know I said some mean things to Tobias-Four-Whateverthefuckhisnameis. I didn't really mean it. I know he's trying his hardest to protect me since I got here, but still, I can date whoever I please.

I hear footsteps. I look up to see the familiar face of Matt, who has gotten his hair dyed bright green since the last time I saw him.

"Hey," I mutter.
