Ch. 5

Alex's mother came home.

"Boy's?" She called.

"Just me mom, Gabe went to Josh's to stay the night." Alex called back.

"Okay" she responded. "One of the girls at the shop is having a fit, I think I will go over to and see if I can be of any help. See you in a couple hours Alex!" She yelled as she left the house.

Alex rolled his eyes and looked down at his phone to find it dead.

"That's weird.... It was half way full a second ago...." He whispered.

He noticed something flicker in his peripheral vision and looked up. He scanned his room and found nothing and looked down and started plugging his phone in when he saw it again. Looking up again he took his time using his eyes to explore the familiar room. He noticed that his bag was on his bed.

"Didn't I put that in my closet...?" He pondered.

Alex moved the bag into the closet.

"Alex?" A voice called behind him.

Remembering the knife in his pocket he spun around and flipped it open.

"Who are you?!" He spoke hurriedly.

A girl walked out of the shadow of the hallway into the room slowly eyeballing the knife in his hand.

"That isn't important right now, what is important is you, we tried to keep you out of this, but now that He's back....." She explained.

"Who's back...?" He questioned.

"That isn't important right now, plus it isn't my place." She fluttered. "You have to come with me, NOW!" She emphasised.

"I don't have to do anything, do you know how weird this is? Some girl just appears out of shadows in my house, and demands that I come with her to some unknown location!" He shouted.

"I really hoped you would have come willingly, but...." She murmured as she reached into her pocket, pulling out something Alex couldn't see.

"What are you doing...?" He voiced.

She blew into her palm and dust scattered around Alex, engulfing him in a cloud, obscuring his vision, making him dizzy.

"What....what did... you do to me....?" He scratched out before collapsing into blackness.
