Met two Gods in one day, weird. Just what is going on with Alex's life. One minute he was a normal boy, the next, he was a demigod, the son of Ares no less. He had two magical items, a spear, and a shield, he was no genius, but he was pretty sure that those two didn't go well together. The spear was bulky and required two hands to wield, which was impossible if he was using his shield. Alex continued to wander around the camp. Anyone he encountered quickly turned around and disappeared. After several minutes of this, he wound up back at the arena.

"Might as well get some practice in with this new gear I guess..." He muttered to himself.

Alex heard the sound of wood smacking wood as he got closer. He entered the building to see a grown man twirling and spinning hitting a wooden dummy with one of the training swords. The man moved with lightning fast reflexes, hitting vital points, the carotid, the gut, and under the armpit. He did this all within seconds, hitting each one multiple times and at what seemed like a random, brutal attack. But as Alex kept watching, he saw patterns, overhead, spin, backhand, upstroke, back, back, forward.  Alex was impressed, he studied the moves, the skill that came with experience, skill and natural talent.

"So how long you gonna stand there for boy?" The man called still continuing his onslaught.

Alex blinked several times, how had this man known he was there? He had made no noise.

"Come over here" The man called again.

Alex walked over slowly.

"Who are you?" Alex asked inquisitively.

The man turned and looked at him. Alex gasped. The man's' eyes were on fire, they were swirling balls of death and pain. Alex blinked several times. The fire was gone, but what Alex saw instead, was something so familiar. Then it hit him. Those were his eyes. This was Ares.

"Figured out who I am yet?" Most people don't, but you, you are something else, aren't you." The man said.

"I have an idea..." Alex said in disbelief.

"And what, might that idea be?" The man said cockely.

"You're Ares, God of War." Alex muttered.

"Damn right I am." The man laughed.
