Alex walked around camp taking in the place where he would call home. The other campers kept their distance from him, making him feel alone, the only person who talked to him about anything other that his powers was that girl. The only problem was she made him nervous, because she was the only one who didn't say anything about it. Of course that wasn't the only thing that bothered him, she was beautiful, incredibly so, and that scared him, because someone that looks like that could easily manipulate anybody who wasn't blind. Beauty is a powerful thing.  Alex was so engulfed in  thought that he bumped into someone, knocking books and scrolls to the ground.

"Oh, I-I'm so sorry I should have been looking where I was going.." Alex murmured as he stooped to help pick up the various tomes.

"You certainly should have, son of Ares." The person responded.

Alex stopped mid-reach, and looked up. There stood a stoic girl who stared down at him with a sneer on her face. He stood and tried to not lose his temper, but instead, he spoke.

"It was an accident I assure you, I was lost in thought-"

The girl cut him off at that last word.

"You? Capable of thought?! HA! Don't make me laugh son of Ares!" She exclaimed.

Alex's fuse was drawing nearer to its' end, took a deep breath and crouched again and carefully picked up the books and scrolls and placed them in the girl's hands with force.

"If that's the way you have to make things then goodbye." Alex said trying not to let his anger show.

The girl stood dumbfounded and blinked several times staring at him. Alex looked around and saw what looked like it might be the armory and walked that way leaving the girl to her books.

"If that's the way I have to make....." The girl whispered in a hushed tone to herself.
