Alex woke up feeling strange, something was, wrong. He knew that he had a dream but couldn't remember any of it, not a single detail, just darkness....

"Hey new blood!" A voice called from the door. "Your training starts today, get dressed, and get out here in 5 or you're gonna regret it."

The owner of the voice walked back outside, leaving Alex  to get dressed in a new outfit that wasn't there when he went to sleep. It was a set of light material he couldn't place, it breathed easily, on the shirt where the initials "C.H.B." what ever that meant. The pants where a thicker material, but it was also as light and it breathed about the same, they where black, the shirt orange, what a weird combination, where these people obsessed with Halloween? Alex quickly got dressed not wanting to risk being late. He hustled out the door and walked up to what he assumed was the training area, it was a big structure, almost like a playground, if playgrounds had spinning blades, fire, and people shooting arrows at you. He would surely die.

"You aren't going to be doing that today Alex." A female voice called from behind him.

Alex turned to see a woman in her mid 30's, her hair was black, her eyes an electric blue.

"You are going to be sword training with me today." The woman continued.

Alex half shrugged and followed her to a secluded courtyard, there were several swords, spears, shields, and various armor pieces on racks.

"A sword, in any condition, if handled properly can cause massive amounts of damage." She explained.

Alex nodded taking in every detail.

"Now, have you had any sort of training with any kind of weapon?" She asked.

"No ma'am, not at all." He said meekly.

She nodded and tossed him a sword. He caught it deftly then stared at his hand, he was not coordinated at all.

"How did...?" He began.

"Just somethings that are a standard of a demigod." She cut him off.

Alex half nodded. She rolled and started to swing her sword at his head. As if he had been training for his entire life he spun and deflected her sword with ease. His heart remained calm, the exact opposite what his mind was.

"How did I do that!" He said in awe.

Instead of answering she swung her sword in a wide arc. Alex nimbly jumped backward and used the tip of his sword to disarm her.  When this happened his jaw dropped.

"Okay, I what just happened?!" He demanded.

She looked at him with a new respect. Something different.

"You're gift is fighting, strange, you don't have much muscle mass, yet you swung with such strength, and such dexterity...." She pondered.

Alex didn't understand a single word she said. That didn't matter though because he heard cheering now that he calmed down, he turned and saw what seemed like all of the demigods, cheering, and they all faced him. He looked behind him and found no one. The woman walked up to him.

"They are cheering for you Alex." She whispered in his ear.

"But, but why?" He asked.

"Because, I WAS, the best sword fighter here, and you beat me without any kind of training." She explained. "You give them hope."

Alex stared at the crowd, he managed a smile, waved and that's when everyone gasped. A red light seemed to be coming from him. He looked up and saw a vulture and a wolf inside what appeared to be a giant glowing red coin.
