"We think that we are invincible because we are. We cannot be born, and we cannot die. Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations." - John Green

Drawing had always been one of those things I wanted to be good at. But as hard as I tried, every time I put a pencil on the page it ended up being a big mess... So while I sat in Xavier's bedroom watching him sketch away I was felt envious. And I never really felt like that. I mean, I usually had some envy towards those kids who had two parents, or at least one parent who actually found the time to text them while they were over seas... Yeah I envied those people...

"Finished." Xavier said, dropping the pencil to the carpet.

"Whoa..."

The sketch was perfect. No doubt about it. Xavier had managed to sketch every little detail into the drawing of the window in his room. He'd drawn every little detail in the window and out-even my shadow was I'm the sketch.

"It's amazing..." I mused.

"It's nothing..." Xavier muttered sheepishly. "So, um. How's your holidays going?"

"Meh." I shrugged. "On the fourth day of the holidays I had to go to my dads wedding, and nothing's really happened since that besides coming over here. What about you?"

"Nothing."

"Sounds fun."

"It's the best. What time do you have to leave?"

"Not sure." I admitted. "I never really asked..."

Xavier shot me a crooked smiled. "You know sometimes you seem pretty stupid."

"Hey. I resent that."

"I was just saying. No need to spaz and resent me."

"Oh there is Xavier. There is."

"Fine get out of my room then."

"Okay I will then."

I got up from the ground, Xavier smirking as I stalked towards the door.

"Buh bye. It's better without you." Xavier said sarcastically.

"Why must you hurt me this way?" I replied holding back the urge to just laugh.

"I don't know." Xavier shrugged. "Get out of my room."

"Fine-wait, are you serious?"

"Yes-no I'm not. Stay, or my weird pervet brother will start flirting with you."

"Um... Eww..."

By the time I decided to go home it was nine and I somehow knew I would end up getting yelled at by dad when he got back from his and El's honeymoon. Stan was obviously going to tell him that the first time I actually did something I came back at nine pm...

I walked through the front door, my clothes drenched from the rain that was now pouring non-stop. Why, must it always rain in London? I slowly closed the door, with my legs aching from walking, and shivers running down my spine. Xavier's house wasn't that far away, but when it came to me who was anything but coordinated it felt like miles to walk.

"It's raining." I said bluntly noticing Stan's curious look as he emerged from the living room.

"I noticed..." He muttered. "I was just on the phone with your dad-"

"He's been calling you?" I cut in. I hadn't had a single form of communication with my father since he got married and left. Not one stupid text or anything... You'd think him being the annoying dad he is would message me every ten seconds asking me to send him pictures of my wrists and constantly ask where I was and what I was doing. But no, I got nothing. And it actually hurt.
