(QUICK A/N THE BOOKS ALL IN TELLIE'S POV UNLESS I SPECIFY THAT ITS NOT CONTINUE 😘)
"It's really hard to judge yourself from the third person perspective and be honest about it, especially when you're reliving a part of your life that isn't exactly puppies, kittens, and rainbows." - Zach Porter
When you're sitting in the kitchen alone and you see an envelope addressed to your father from his ex-fiancé there's only one thing you could possibly do. Check to make sure no one was around and then grab it.
I couldn't exactly rip open the envelope. Dad would know if I did that...
"What the hell are you doing?"
I bit my lip turning around and watching as dad strode into the kitchen looking at the me then the envelop his eyes narrowing.
"Don't ever touch anything that isn't addressed to you." Dad hissed, snatching the envelope from my hand.
"Why is Eidee sending you stuff?"
I had already said the words before I even knew it. It's what I wanted to ask, but asking it was a stupid move.
"That is none of your concern."
"I can always go ask El-"
"Don't tell Eleanor a single thing about this." Dad cut in. "Just forget you saw it."
"Why'd Eidee send you something in the first place?" I snapped. "You guys broke up when I was eight and never had anything to do with each other after that."
"It is not your place to ask that Cristell. I want you to forget you ever saw the bloody letter."
"Why?"
"Again, it is not your place to ask that."
"Are you cheating on Eleanor again...?" I muttered.
Dad's face softened as he shook his head. "No sweetie. That's never going to happen ever again. This is just... You're to young to understand."
"Then why can't I tell El that you got a letter off Eidee?" I asked tartly.
"Love, I'd never ask you to do this if it wasn't important, but it is important and I need you not to go and tell El." Dad replied putting a hand on my shoulder. "Don't tell anyone about the letter from Eidee. Not a single person."
"Why should I keep another secret?" I challenged. I wanted to know why Eidee was sending dad letters more than anything right now. Something had to be happening if he wasn't wanting El to know, I wasn't that observant but I knew dad and EL told each other pretty much everything.
"Sweetie, if you don't keep this to yourself this time next year I'll probably be divorced. So I need you to forget about it. Promise me you won't tell anyone."
I bit my lip looking to my shoes. I was already keeping a secret for El. God knows how much shit I have on Jessie... Usually I wasn't good with secrets. So in the end I knew I'd spill to someone...
"Tellie. Honey promise me you're not gonna tell anyone." Dad said snapping me from my thoughts.
"I won't..." I mumbled.
"Good girl. Now I need you to get in the car while I make a call, apparently there's something happening and the press conference might be called off."
"Why am I getting in the car then?"
"'Cause if it's off you and me are gonna spend some time together."
Great... Just what I need...
"Doing what?" I asked wearily.
Dad shrugged. "Whatever you want darlin'. Now go get in the car."
