"We all want to do something to mitigate the pain of loss or to turn grief into something positive, to find a silver lining in the clouds. But I believe there is real value in just standing there, being still, being sad." -John Green

Louis wasn't sure what to do. His head raced and heart pounded. The anxiety that filled him was only growing larger as he sat in the hospital waiting, Eleanor by his side tears threatening to fall from her now fear filled eyes.

Neither of them said a word. They both sat their in silence, hand in hand, waiting for some answers. So many horrible thoughts filled Louis' mind, very awful thoughts. Thoughts that made him wince at the idea. But who could blame him, this was the second time he'd been called saying his daughter was in hospital and nobody expected her to come out. Of course he was thinking of the worst. He'd waited last year for hours not knowing if Tellie was alive, and now he was doing it again, and with every unspoken minute that past, his thoughts got wilder, and his hopes sunk lower.

"Lou..." Eleanor murmured, her voice almost cracking as she spoke. She wanted to be as worried Louis was, not like she wasn't worried, she was definitely worried and wasn't sure how to handle what was happening, but Louis was more anxious and worried than she could ever be. His knuckles white, his face blank, his eyes mixing with different emotions, the way he pondered on different thoughts, cringing at almost everyone.

"Lou," Eleanor repeated, "I'm going to go ask if they know anything yet..."

"What's the point?" Louis asked in monotone. "You know they'll never tell us anything."

Eleanor just sighed, knowing he was right. Louis' gaze was still locked on the wall as Eleanor let go of his hand, getting to her feet she strode towards the front desk, leaving her husband alone.

Louis ran his fingers through his hair, his gaze breaking as he looked to his phone. The long list of Twitter notifications went on and on, as well as the texts from his mother and band mates. And all of then pretty much were the same thing, even when written in different way Louis was only being asked one question: What happened to Tellie?

He wanted to answer. He wish he could've answered, but he didn't even know the answer himself. Louis could live with even the smallest piece of information, for him there was nothing that made him as anxious and distraught as he was at this very second, knowing he may never see the one person he vowed to protect since the day she was born. And the more he thought about how he may never see his little girl again, the more pale his face grew, and the more distant his eyes went.

Louis swallowed a lump in his throat as Eleanor came back, her face just as pale as his.

"Anything?" Louis asked in the same dull tone he'd been using for that past hour.

Eleanor shook her head. "Nothing, she's still in surgery..." Eleanor retook her seat next to Louis, her hand falling in his the way it had been before.

"Didn't think so..." Louis admitted dryly. He locked his gaze on the plaster white wall again, breathing in heavily as his wife rested her head on his shoulder, looking at him reassuringly, but he didn't notice. He didn't notice anything, because all he could do was stare at the blank way. His eyes watering with every horrible thought that came into his mind.

"...What do you mean dead?" Zach snapped, Corey didn't want to talk anymore. Being texted by Liam saying by this tomorrow everyone thought Tellie would be dead made him sick, but the urgency in Zach's made him sigh and hand his phone to Cam, who read the text his eyes widening and face turning pale. Zach stood there looking from the two his features twisting in anger and fear.
