I wondered if it was karma. Of course the creature would have to shadow me, of course I would have to see her damned beautiful face everyday. It was unnerving to say the least, and I was never unnerved.
I turned to her, her small hands had been shaking for the past three hours since she woke up and I felt the strange desire to grab them and place them against my chest... I didn't know where theses thoughts were coming from!
She was going to ruin everything! I could already feel my control over my mission wavering.
"Well, I excused myself from classes today but I guess we can catch the last two before dinner," I announced whilst looking down at my standard grey watch.
I wasn't looking forward to this. Especially since I would have to go to Language & History and to Samara Alvar, my power trainer. Great.
The girl stood uneasily on her feet. When was she going to choke up her name? The fact that she hadn't yet made me suspicious of her and why she's here. Well I guess I'm being a hypocrite, being a spy and all.
"Lets think of a fake name then, how about a nickname?" I offered. The girl fluttered her long and dark lashes, pondering this. Her eyes were the most peculiar color, like someone had bottled the ocean and sky into a single eye color.
"Amber..." She said as if it felt foreign on her tongue. Amber, hmm, I don't think that's her real name but it weirdly fit her.
"Amber it is. Let's go to History."

I was already in hell and it was only ten minutes into class. The history classroom had been built to fit thirty kids into metal desks, all facing the teachers main desk in the front. Mr. Worthy, a tall lanky, bearded Caucasian man was ranting quite endlessly. But I found no one was paying attention to Worthy's lecture, they were looking at her.
Amber nearly had a heart attack at the sight of all the people and her shaky hands had turned to full body quakes. I told her that it was just history and she wouldn't even have to speak or listen. She calmed down after that, grudgingly walking in with me.
Mr. Worthy had placed her up front were the rest of the twenty-something kids could shamelessly stare at her. To my surprise, Amber paid them no heed, her gaze was fixed on Mr. Worthy and her brows were furrowed, listening intently to what he was saying. She had even asked the dark-skinned boy next to her for a piece of paper to write notes down. I couldn't hold back a smile at his bewildered glances at her.
She wrote religiously on the paper for an hour before a loud bell rang through the classroom. Amber jumped at the noise and her hands flung to her ears. I chuckled before making my way to her. The rest of the kids filed out of the room, glancing back at her with awed expressions. Yes, she has a nice face... move on!
"Are you okay?" I asked, holding back my smirk. This was too fun!
She nodded, wringing her small hands in front of her. "What was that?" She asked in bewilderment. Her voice was clear and she seemed to notice and her eyes drifted down in embarrassment.
I smiled down at her. "It was the bell, it tells us when to go to the next class."
She nodded understandingly, watching the students file out of the classroom. "They're all Altrus?" She asked in bewilderment.
