She was different. She was so confident and sure of herself yet she cowards behind that fairy boy! I would give anything to rip him to pieces. Were they screwing? Did he love her? Did she love him?"
"I hate you, Alexander!" I heard a familiar voice boom. My head was rested against the tree but at the sound of her voice, my head propped forward.
The fairy boy burst from the trees with a rare grin plastering his horrible face. He landed gracefully and scanned the tree line.
I almost laughed when Amberley came into sight, dripping wet, head to toe. Her black undergarments were easily seen beneath her grey shirt. Why was she still wearing Clandestine grey?
The group of "rebels" took in her appearance and burst out laughing. Amberley pouted and flung her wet locks out of her face comically. Why does she act to freely around this group when she never acted this way around me?
"This isn't funny! It's gotten really cold these past days!" She exclaimed, rubbing her shoulders.
She was right about that. The temperature had dropped drastically everyday we moved more north. I had heard rumors of men freezing to death in the middle of the night if their not careful.
"What happened?" A crazy looking dude choked out between fits of giggles.
"I was trying to help the bastard clean his clothes in the lake and I thought it would be funny to slap him with his wet clothes. He didn't like that and he pushed me in the lake!" She exclaimed dramatically.
She was hot when she was angry but it made me furious to know she was only this confident because she had gotten rid of me. I hated seeing her slip away even more.
Alexander reached into a satchel hung on the horses saddle and pulled out some scraps of clothing. He tossed them to her with haste. She caught them with a scoff.
The group was still laughing even when a familiar look came upon Amberley's face. The only times she had that look was when she was going to play dirty in the fighting ring. She stepped forward until her body wasn't even a foot away from Alexander's body. My frown instantly turned to a scowl.
She grinned at the fairy boy before she stepped out of her pants. Alexander didn't even look down at her toned, long legs but I sure as hell did. He didn't even move when she slapped the wet pants across his stomach. He only cocked an eyebrow as she put on her dry pair.
When I almost thought her little act was finished, she slowly lifted her arms and shimmied out of her damp shirt. This time, Alexanders eyes glanced down at her bra-covered breast. I remembered how I had touched those. I was suddenly warm all over. As soon as the dry shirt was on, she stared at the fairy boy for a second before swinging the wet shirt. I landed solidly against the side of his face with a wet slapping sound.
She burst out laughing and sprinted away. Alexander growled and chased her back into the woods. I still heard her giggles and saw her body behind my eyelids even twenty minutes after their departure.
My head sagged. I couldn't live like this anymore. I needed her...I came all this way. Would she and her new friends actually take me in after everything I've done?
"Hello you little bastard..."A voice said. I groaned as I recognized the voice. Micah...
"I haven't seen you in ten years and you can't even look excited to see me? Shame, shame, shame!" He said, sitting down against the tree besides me.
"Why are you here with these people, Micah?" I questioned honestly.
I didn't know this guy. He may be my brother but I'm sure he's a different person from ten years ago. He's sure as hell not the pudgy little eight year old he used to be.
