Screams. My father once told me the screams of his enemy's were like music to his ears. Yet, these screams, the screams that echoed down every inch of Clandestine, were like hells song.

I felt the blast before the scream. The blast hit me and I fell my knees. The invisible draft seemed to seep into my bones, pulling out every inch of sorrow I had in me.

Amberley, that's was her scream, her powers. Once the power past me, I threw my sword back into its container. I had been the last one to leave the training room and decided to stay for a little longer because I had come late because of my Rene detour.

Another scream bursted through the halls. The scream was filled with more pain like anyone could imagine. I know Amberley's scream when I hear it. The girls got some lungs.

I heard a distant explosion and screams. I took off running. My legs were robotic as I sprinted through the halls, toward my room. I had suspected Amberley would be there since she didn't show up at the training room earlier.

My legs gained momentum and I turned the corner leading to my room. My feet skidded to a stop. My room. It was gutted. Completely blown to bits. As I stepped into the rubble, I saw a group of people all standing around gawking at the wreckage.

Had Amberley done this? How? Was she even this powerful? Where was she?

"Where is she?!" I yell at the crowd. They look startled as they glance at me. "Where's Amberley?"

They all looked at each other before someone stepped forwards. A ordinary looking girl opened her mouth.

"Samara Valar and Derrick Rose took her to the power room. They said she needed to let off some steam."

I glared at her. "Blow off a little steam? This wasn't enough?" I questioned, gesturing to my obliterated bedroom. Good thing I didn't keep anything of value in my room... except all my clothes, King Johns journal, my bed. Oh shit, King Johns journal! It was gone now!

The girls opened her mouth to respond but I
was already gone, leaping over debris as I raced to the power room. Valar and Derrick working together meant bad news, expessially when Amb was involved.

I wished Jeff was here, he could lead me to her. I ran blindly into the power room and gasped. The room was demolished, like mine. And in the middle of it all was a raven haired girl.

I surged forward. Valar and Derrick were huddled in a corner together, afraid for their lives, apparently.

"What the hell!" I exclaimed.

Amberley was cold as ice as I turned her over. Nothing seemed to be injured or harmed. That was good. I felt for a pulse, still there. Relief washed through me.

"Don't worry, lion boy, we all must discover and explore our powers. Some explorations and discoveries are harder than others," Valar calls.

She stands, brushing debris from her grey pants.

I push Amberley's hair out of her face and grip her small hand. "Where is Joshua? How could he allow this and I thought all her powers were already discovered?"

Derrick chuckled and I sent a wave of power to him and he jerked backward onto his butt. He only looked amused. His face was seriously messed up.

"Joshua sent us here. Princess went a little crazy. I needed to take her feelings away," he stated.

I leaned toward Amberley. She moaned and rolled over on her side. As if on instinct, her hand squeezed mine like it was her lifeline.

"What happened, dick?"
