8 days to go.
She immediately posted that the moment she woke up the next day. People were already wondering what she was going on about. They just have to wait.
She smiled at the sleeping angel, a tall one, on her arm.
She leaned down and kissed Mika softly on the lips. Then, she just stared at her. She couldn't believe they were finally back to their routine, waking up in each other's arms.
"Babe, inaantok pa ako," Mika said with a frown.
She chuckled.
"Babe, I'm not doing anything naman."
"You're staring."
She grinned. "You're beautiful kasi, eh."
Well, she could stare at Mika for the rest of her life and not get tired of it.
After a while, Mika stretched her arms out before meeting her gaze.
"Good morning, Babe."
"Good morning," she replied. "I love you."
Mika kissed her again. "I love you too."
Finally, after three weeks, her day finally started right.
After sharing early lunch with their friends, they all decided to go to Manila already. Thank God Ara brought Mika's car and they drove that back to Mika's condo. While they were in the car, she excitedly talked about their upcoming 9th monthsary.
"Babe, for our 9th monthsary, where do you wanna go?"
Mika put her left hand atop her right on the gear.
"Babe, actually kasi may game kami on the 23rd," Mika said apologetically. "Doon kasi nakasalalay 'yung ticket namin para sa semis."
"Oh," for a moment she felt sad but that seemed like a better opportunity. "That's fine, Babe! We can celebrate before and after the game naman, eh."
When they stopped at a red light, Mika turned her face and kissed her tenderly on the lips which made her smile.
They talked and shared about things they did over the last three weeks. Sometimes it was painful to listen and sometimes it was difficult for her to talk but they got through it. In the end, they told everything that needed to be said and no secrets were kept from each other.
When they were already in Mika's condo's parking lot, she remembered the set up she left there. She wondered if it was dusty but she figured it shouldn't be. She went there a few days ago anyway.
"Babe, wait lang," she stopped Mika from opening the door. "Close your eyes muna."
"Bakit?" Mika asked confused.
"Basta. Please?" she urged.
Mika rolled her eyes at her before closing it anyway.
She opened the door and pulled Mika inside. She made Mika stood by the door and she went across the room to the living room. She wanted to see Mika's reaction.
"You can open your eyes now, Babe."
The moment Mika opened her eyes, her gaze wandered around the room and she could see the amazement in it.
Mika stepped towards the first picture, to the next, to the next, until she reached the living room. Mika took a while because Mika stopped a lot to look at the pictures carefully and even touching it before looking at her with a loving smile. In the living room, she went to one of the walls and took some notes.
