Donnie was right.
We got to the town about sixty minutes later with many worn-down stores with the structure chipping away. On the sides of the road, there were some knocked-over street lights. The transformers on the telephone poles were broken and still sparking up a storm because they still had some kind of electrical life. It looked like a ghost town because of how quiet it is here. There are barely any signs of life, no cars, and nothing is standing out to us except for these few stores.
"Are we still in New York?" Mikey asked, searching for a sign on the side of the road.
"Yeah. We're not at the border yet." Donnie replied back, scanning the town from where he stood.
"We're staying here? It looks like everything is locked up." I say.
"Well, we're just gonna have to do some breaking and entering." Raph jogged up to the first building on the left which was called,
"Sarah's Wardrobe?" Patience read the sign above the door as I trot up to the dusted window and peek in. There were clothes... Lots of them. I can see the heavy coats just waiting to give someone a warm hug. To make moving around much easier, I changed back to my 'human' form.
Patience was amazed at my transformation, but only for a second. Raphael cupped his hands to the glass window and peers in.
"What do you see?" Leo asked, looking through the glass as well.
"Not much," Raph says, studying the items inside the store. "There're clothes and a couple of other things."
I thought this was enough talk, so I brought out my knife. "Let's have a look."
Leo had other plans for a few of us. "You girls stay out here with Splinter. Raph, Donnie, and I clean it out. Mikey can't because of his arm."
"What? But maybe we want to look around inside, too." Patience told Leo.
"I know." Says Leo. "We're still learning how these infected people work."
Donatello brought out a small object from his shell. I knew it was his weapon, but I didn't realize that it was actually his bostaff. He pressed a button on the surface of the object and it expanded with a loud snap, breaking the glass of the store.
"Impressive." Patience grinned.
"We'll be back." Said Leo, before he entered the store with his little team.

Minutes were going by and I was growing impatient. What is taking them so long? They just have to sweep the store and come back out. Even Patience grew annoyed.
"They've been in there for a few minutes," Patience mentioned.
"Maybe you both should go in," Mikey suggested.
Splinter strongly disagreed with that idea. "No, Mikey. Let your brothers take care of it. One son with an injured arm is enough."
I feel like a dog whining at a criminal inside a house. I want in. "Splinter, may I just go inside and help? Please."
The rat sighed softly as he said, "I don't recommend it, but if you wish." He nodded once.
The commotion that went on inside got me to have many urges to enter the store. Patience watched my expressions change every second as I am now watching the shadows move in violent ways. I couldn't help but push myself in and enter. "I'm going."
"No, Osa! Come back." I turn to see she gripped my tail. "Please don't."
"Come on, Patience." I wanted her to come with me. She refused, though. She released me while I sneak up to a rack of clothes. My nose got the disgusting smell of the Dead being inside here, too. I held my switchblade upside down, and the blade alone was faced outward. The store was dark and had a lot of dark, dark shadows. The only light source we had it coming from outside with the sky dimming slowly.
